The transfer window opened on July 10th. Therefore, Flamengo has already started moving in the market in search of reinforcement. Initially, Mais Querido’s idea is to ‘repatriate’ Lucas Paquetá. However, West Ham (ING) refused Fla's first proposal.
According to the specialized page 'West Ham Football', the English club refused the offer of 5 million euros, plus 10 million euros in bonus. It is worth mentioning that, at the current price, the amount would reach approximately R$90 million.
Flamengo's proposal was made around ten days ago. However, the English club immediately refused the red-black proposal. West Ham's attitude, however, was already expected by Mais Querido, who has not yet given up on negotiations.
Currently, Flamengo understands that Lucas Paquetá needs to talk to coach Julen Lopetegui and the directors of West Ham to discuss leaving for Fla. Mais Querido's vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, and the department's executive director, Bruno Spindel, plan to go to England by the end of July.
The idea of Flamengo's directors is negotiate the signing of Lucas Paquetá personally with West Ham representatives. For the Red and Black president, Rodolfo Landim, repatriating the midfielder would end his tenure with a 'golden key'.

Several Uruguayan newspapers covered the tie between Flamengo and Vasco this Sunday (15). Among the main vehicles, “El País” and “Montevidéu Portal” highlighted that Luiz Araújo left the classic with a possible knee injury and could be absent for Rubro-Negro in the first game of the Libertadores quarter-finals against Peñarol, next Thursday (19).
