In the interview after the debut, Tite praised the players - starters and reserves -, members of the club's committee, the medical department and the assimilation of work in Flamengo's first week. If predecessor Jorge Sampaoli repeated that the squad was unable to put its ideas into practice, the current red and black commander shares merits and creates an atmosphere that was lost at the club.
Tite's first week had many conversations to understand the structure from Flamengo, learn about the processes and start planning what the work will be like from now on.
"Going into a job and looking for the correct information, working within the Ninho, starting with a relationship of human trust that needs to be done. I look at Fabinho (football manager) and I am grateful because the information he they brought were fundamental to the workload. So that the athlete had everything for the game physically and mentally. That's difficult," said Tite.
If the environment was cold and distant with Sampaoli, the new Coach tends to revolutionize this point. Previously, not even Ninho's day-to-day employees spoke directly to the Argentine. Everything went through Gabriel Andreata, the coach's right-hand man.
The lack of communication undermined the work of the Argentine, who, despite maintaining respect, could not even have a good relationship with the athletes. In Tite's case, the human side is a fundamental part of the work, a fact that influenced Flamengo's choice of coach. People management is one of the main characteristics of the work and he makes it clear that uniting everyone around a cause is a mission.

Tite talked a lot with the players during the match at Mineirão . In Sampaoli's final stretch, it was common to see practically non-existent contacts even in the technical stops. Even Filipe Luís participated in the dialogues about positions. Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.
The Rubro-negra lineup follows:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.
Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region.
