Flamengo will enter the field with a different look this Thursday (31), at Maracanã. In the duel against Atlético-MG, valid for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil, Rubro-Negro will wear its new uniform 3, recently launched by Adidas .
The match is scheduled for 9:30 pm (Brasília time) and will mark the official debut of the new away jersey. The club confirmed the use of the new jersey on social media . However, many fans were unhappy with the choice, arguing that away kits would have to be worn in away matches , not at the Maracanã.
The launch campaign centered on the Arcos da Lapa in Rio de Janeiro, with the venue illuminated in shades of gold and red and black. The collection's slogan is " Original Heritage of the Nation ," reinforcing Flamengo as a cultural phenomenon that extends beyond the pitch.
The new third kit features an off-white look with gold accents , conveying an air of elegance and tradition. The gold hue is present on the sleeves and V-neck collar, as well as the vintage-style Adidas and club logos.
A striking detail is the use of the trefoil—a classic Adidas symbol—in place of the brand's current logo , reinforcing the piece's retro feel. The Flamengo crest used is the one from the tank top, a nod to the club's origins. The traditional Adidas stripes appear discreetly on the shoulders, in red and black.
Flamengo will face Atlético-MG again this Thursday (31), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. The match will be broadcast on SporTV and Premiere channels .
The La Plata team's starter has not recovered from an injury to the adductor muscle in his thigh and will be out against Mengão in the competition.

Bolivia's all-time leading scorer and national idol, Marcelo Moreno, formerly of Flamengo, revealed he is considering coming out of retirement . The striker explained that Bolivia's qualification for the playoffs has rekindled his desire to wear the country's jersey once again.
Despite surpassing 100 caps for the national team, Marcelo Moreno has never played in a World Cup. Bolivia only participated in the tournament in 1930, 1950, and 1994 —when the center forward hadn't even begun his professional career in 2006.

Marcelo Moreno officially retired in 2023, playing for Independiente del Valle (EQU). The following year, he played a farewell match for Cruzeiro, the club where he became an idol: " God willing and allowing, so be it . I feel good about returning. We'll see what happens. I'm making the most of it, and we'll analyze it carefully. That's the best answer I can give right now," the striker added.
Trained in the youth ranks of Oriente Petrolero (BOL) and Vitória, Marcelo Moreno built an international career, playing for Cruzeiro, Shakhtar Donetsk, Werder Bremen, Wigan, Grêmio, Flamengo , Changchun Yatai, Wuhan Zall, Shijiazhuang Ever Bright, Cerro Porteño and Independiente del Valle.
Marcelo Moreno arrived at Flamengo in 2013, a year when the club was in a period of cost-cutting under Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. Signed on loan from Grêmio, he played just 20 games, scoring four goals and assisting one . In 2014, he returned to Cruzeiro, before beginning his career in Chinese football.
Uruguay's national team schedules games in Asia for the next FIFA Date, which makes it difficult for the midfielder and full-back to arrive for the Mengão games.
