Flamengo's under-20 team secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Copa Rio in the category after beating Fluminense last Sunday (4), in Xerém. Defender Yago's goal was decisive in securing second place in Group B and ensuring the club's place among the four semi-finalists of the tournament.
With this result, the opponent in the next phase will be Botafogo , who had the best campaign in the group stage. The first leg takes place this Saturday (10), at 3 pm, in Gávea , with broadcast confirmed by FlamengoTV.
Under the command of Leonardo Ramos, the red-and-black squad ended the group stage with four wins, one draw and two losses. They scored 18 goals and conceded seven. Even though he is not part of the current squad, striker Pedro Leão remains the tournament's top scorer with seven goals . Leão, who scored 12 goals this season, was recently promoted to the group led by Nuno Campos , which is competing in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship.

The team's top scorer in the season, Pedro Leão scored both goals for the red-blacks, both in the second half of the match, and reached 12, in 2025. The next match will be against São Paulo, on Thursday (15/5), at 6 pm, in Cotia.
The team coached by Nuno Campos was not very inspired in the first half and, even so, had the best chances to open the scoring. After the break, the team managed to adjust the pressure and made things much harder for the opponent. The teams set a strong pace after the break and the game's temperature rose. Flamengo ended up coming out on top and scoring twice to finish the match.
