Jorge Jesus, formerly of Flamengo, will be the new coach of Al-Nassr , a Saudi team that has Cristiano Ronaldo in its squad . The deal is closed and will be signed this week in Madrid, marking the return of the Portuguese coach to Saudi Arabian football, now at the age of 70.
According to the Saudi newspaper Ariyadhiah, Al Nassr's priority was Unai Emery , the current coach of Aston Villa. The proposal also included Monchi, the English club's sporting director. Both would receive four-year contracts, with salaries of 20 million euros for Emery and 5 million for Monchi (R$128 million and R$32 million, respectively) . However, the high salary demands stalled the deal. With the Spaniards' refusals, the Saudi club moved on to plan B, which was already in its sights: Jorge Jesus.
Jorge Jesus ' contract with Al Nassr will be for one season with the option to renew, or for two fixed seasons, depending on the final format. His salary will be 7 million euros per year (R$44.8 million) , less than what he received at Al Hilal, the club that fired him in early May.
JJ's arrival has been endorsed by Cristiano Ronaldo, the biggest star of Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League. The number 7 believes that Jorge Jesus is the ideal candidate to put the club back on the path to titles after a disappointing season under Stefano Pioli, who left without lifting any trophies.

President Luiz Eduardo Baptista , known as Bap, is contesting the contract signed by Rodolfo Landim's previous administration and seeking more favorable terms for the club. Without the support of the other members of the bloc, the possibility of appealing to the courts is beginning to be considered behind the scenes.
According to the "Máquina do Esporte" website, Libra leaders are growing concerned that the dispute will progress to court , jeopardizing plans to unify the groups discussing the creation of a single national soccer league. FlaBasquete began a series of friendly matches in Spain to prepare for the Club World Cup. On Wednesday afternoon (10), Rubro-Negro faced San Pablo Burgos, a team from the Spanish elite, and was defeated 106 to 86. The clash marked the squad's first game activity after the full presentation of the athletes, which took place less than a week before.
Despite the negative result, the match served as an important assessment for the Mais Querido coaching staff. The match helped to get the players back into game rhythm, test their physical fitness, and observe the first collective movements at the start of the season.
Flamengo will now continue its preparation schedule on Spanish soil.
