Despite a good performance by Lucas Paquetá , a Flamengo product, West Ham were unable to hold off leaders Liverpool this Sunday (13), in the 33rd round of the Premier League . At Anfield , the Reds won 2-1 and took another important step towards the English title.
Paquetá played an active role in the match , creating two great goal chances, but his teammates were unable to convert them. The Brazilian was also responsible for starting the play that resulted in Robertson's own goal, which tied the game in the second half. The midfielder is still free to play until the end of the season due to the extension of his trial.

After the goal, West Ham grew into the match and almost equalized with Kudus , who hit the crossbar. Paquetá's team still created good opportunities with Mavropanos and again Kudus, requiring good saves from Alisson.
The second half was more balanced, with clear chances for both sides. Liverpool had a Mac Allister free kick hit the post, while West Ham responded with a great move from Paquetá, which left Bowen one-on-one with Alisson - the Brazilian goalkeeper shone once again.
The equalizer came in the 40th minute: Paquetá launched Wan-Bissaka , who crossed low and saw Robertson deflect into his own goal. Liverpool responded soon after, with Van Dijk taking advantage of a corner to score the winning goal in the 44th minute.
Füllkrug still had the chance to equalise again , hitting the post in injury time, but the Reds held on to the result until the final whistle.
With the defeat and Wolverhampton 's victory over Tottenham , West Ham dropped to 17th place, the first outside the relegation zone, with 35 points - the same score as Wolves.

In a press conference at Ninho do Urubu, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi spoke about his desire to be called up to the Argentina national team , the current world champion. Despite his dream, the goalkeeper made it clear that his priority remains Flamengo.

"I'm in no rush, because my job is for Flamengo , day to day, game to game. My biggest focus is to maintain this streak so that the call-up can come. Of course I have that desire, but I don't treat it as a requirement . I'm Flamengo's goalkeeper, I'm responsible for Flamengo. If the call-up comes, I'll welcome it," he added.
Since joining Flamengo in 2023, Rossi has already won four titles. Last season, he was a key player in the undefeated Carioca Championship and also played in the Copa do Brasil victory. In 2025, he maintained his starting spot in the Supercopa do Brasil and the Campeonato Estadual . In total, he has represented Flamengo in 125 official matches, establishing himself as a pillar of the team.

Back in Brazilian football, Neymar still divides opinions about his future at Santos . During a debate on ESPN Brasil, former player Zinho compared the Santos number 10 to Flamengo's Arrascaeta , which sparked disagreement from Zé Elias. The former Mengão player stated that the Uruguayan wouldn't be able to perform at the São Paulo club.

Flamengo Women have a decisive challenge this Wednesday (17), at 6 pm (Brasília time), against São Paulo, at Morumbis stadium. The match, valid for the round of 16 of the Women's Brazil Cup , will be played in a single game.
