Fabricio Bruno refused the proposal from West Ham (ING) last Thursday (30), after conversations with his family. The defender's stay at Flamengo surprised some of the red and black fans. However, despite the 'stay', the defender does not rule out leaving in the middle of the year.
According to information from the UOL portal, Fabrício Bruno has not left aside his dream of playing in Europe and is awaiting salary offers advantageous to leave Flamengo. The defender spoke with businesspeople and realized that he is valued in the market, and now hopes to receive new offers as soon as the transfer window opens.
The proposal that Flamengo received from West Ham (ING) was R$83 million for 100% of economic rights. Mais Querido accepted the offer, but Fabrício Bruno refused, as he asked for a much higher salary than he receives at Rubro-Negro.
West Ham, however, did not agree to make a counter-offer to Fabrício Bruno. Therefore, the defender decided to remain at Flamengo and fulfill his contract, valid until the end of 2028. However, as previously mentioned, the athlete does not rule out leaving the club if he receives a financially advantageous offer.
Until now , Fabrício Bruno is available to Flamengo in the next games. The Mais Querido cast will perform again at 3pm (Brasília time) on Thursday (06), at CT Ninho do Urubu. Training will focus on the duel with Grêmio, on June 13th, at Maracanã, in the Brasileirão.

The first women's volleyball competition is Mengão's! This Friday (27), Flamengo won the National Cup of Pro-Vôlei Clubs. Against the current Superliga champion, Bernardinho's team played 3 sets to 0 at Minas, with scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17. The duel took place at Ginásio Wilson Mânica, in Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul.
The tournament featured three clubs and serves as preparation for the 2024/25 Superliga. On Wednesday (25), Flamengo beat Maringá. On Thursday (26), Minas also beat the team from Paraná. Therefore, this Friday (27th) the big decision took place, which had a packed gym.
Despite being a competition to open the season, Flamengo's victory gives a boost to the season. After all, Minas is the team to beat in Brazilian women's volleyball. Thus, in the last five Superligas, the Belo Horizonte team won four titles and one runner-up. In the squad, there are athletes who have played for the Brazilian team, such as Thaísa, Olympic champion and bronze medalist in this year's edition, in Paris.
SuperligaThe dates of the Women's Super League have not yet been announced. However, there is an expectation that the competition will start in October. In total, 12 teams will play the tournament, in a round-robin system, with the eight best qualifying for the quarter-finals.
In the last edition, after all, Flamengo was eliminated by Praia Clube in the semi-final . Therefore, the goal for 2024/25 is to reach the decision and repeat the title won in 2000/01, when Rubro-Negro beat Vasco, in a historic decision at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho.

FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.
The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. Peñarol [if they win the Libertadores] and Olímpia [if River wins the Libertadores] are the other teams in the running.
The places are divided into: 12 for Europe, six for South America, four for Asia, Africa and North, Central America and the Caribbean, one for Oceania and one for the host country.
In addition to the remaining MLS spot, which has not yet defined its representative, the other available entry belongs to South America. It is destined for the champion of the edition of 2024 of the Libertadores. If River Plate wins the title, it will be transferred to the Conmebol ranking in FIFA and would already have an owner: Olímpia-PAR.

In Montevideo, Flamengo was unable to reverse the result and was left in a 0-0 draw with Peñarol. Therefore, they are eliminated from the Copa Conmebol Libertadores, the first fall that Tite's team suffers in 2024. Shortly after the end of the match, defender Fabrício Bruno appeared dejected, apologized to the red and black fans and defined that the objective now is to win the remaining titles.
“We did great, we set a great pace, but unfortunately we didn't get the goal. It's about apologizing to the fans and moving forward with the season to win titles. It's difficult, Peñarol's team knows how to defend itself, Aguirre's teams are like that. Now we have to apologize to the fans”, said the defender.
With the elimination, Flamengo stops facing Botafogo in a possible semi-final and concentrates its forces on the Copa do Brasil, where it is in the semi-final and will have the Corinthians as opponent. Flamengo's next challenge is in the Brazilian Championship. This is because the red and black team faces Athlético-PR, next Sunday, at 8:30 pm, at Maracanã.
