In the press conference after the 4-2 victory over Juventude, Filipe Luís defended Ayrton Lucas b> after some boos from the fans during the match, recognizing that the player is not going through his best phase. FILIPE CELEBRATES PERFORMANCE
The coach celebrated o performance of the team, which scored four goals again after almost four months. With Filipe Luís at the helm, Flamengo secured a place in the final of the Copa do Brasil and recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat in the last five matches.
“A victory that made me very happyfor the game we presented, we pressed well. Juventude has its weapons in the offensive phase. O Flamengo's next challenge will be the delayed game against Internacional, on Wednesday- fair, in Beira-Rio, for the 17th round of the Brasileirão. The match is a direct confrontation for theG4 of the championship. Mais Querido is fourth in the competition with 54 points, two ahead of Colorado who also won in the round, against Atlético-MG, and could surpass Rubro-Negro in case of victory.

In the last match before facing Flamengo , Estudiantes was defeated by River Plate 2-1 this Saturday (13), in La Plata , for the Argentine Championship , in the teams' last commitment before the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. Both are now preparing to face Brazilian opponents.
The team led by Marcelo Gallardo will face Palmeiras, while Estudiantes will face Flamengo . River's clash takes place on Wednesday (17), in Buenos Aires. The Argentines from La Plata begin the duel against Mais Querido on Thursday (18), at Maracanã .
River started strong and opened the scoring after just 5 minutes , with Giuliano Galoppo, who played for São Paulo in Brazil. Shortly after, in the 12th minute, Nacho Fernández, formerly of Atlético-MG, doubled the lead.
Still in the first half, defender Martínez Quarta was sent off, leaving the visitors with ten men. Even so, Estudiantes barely capitalized on their numerical superiority and only managed to pull one back in stoppage time, thanks to a header from Santiago Núñez.
Rubro-Negro faces Estudiantes in the quarterfinals of the CONMEBOL Libertadores. The first leg will be played at the Maracanã Stadium on September 18th at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), and will be broadcast on ESPN and Disney+ .
This will be the ninth official matchup between the teams. In the eight previous meetings, Flamengo won three, drew four, and lost only one to the Argentines . The return leg will be in Argentina, deciding who advances to the semifinals.

Ryan Roberto , a 17-year-old striker, is currently considered one of Flamengo's top prospects. With 21 goals in 39 matches, according to Globo Esporte, the youngster is attracting interest from European soccer giants such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Ajax.
