In his first press conference as Flamengo coach, Filipe Luís highlighted, in the midst of a turbulent moment at the club, the need for everyone to come together to lead the team back to glory. The new coach highlighted that being in this position, far from being a pressure, is a privilege for him.
“I'm very happy, this is a very important challenge and, as I've already said to all the people who work here at CT, I need all. I need everyone, the fans, the press, the board. We need to come together more and more so we can put Flamengo where Flamengo deserves”, began Filipe Luís.
“And me alone I won't make it, that's for sure. I need my players, I need the entire staff and also you. So, first I want to thank everyone for being here and say that this challenge may seem like a giant, gigantic pressure, but for me it is a privilege to be able to be leading and guiding the best cast in America towards the path I want to take”, emphasized the Flamengo's new coach.

Filipe Luís also appealed to the fans, asking that there be no "division in the stadium". He highlighted the role of the fans in the dismissal of Tite, who was heavily booed in his last game for Flamengo, and stressed that he wants to see a united nation, supporting Mengão at all times.
“I know that expectations are very high and I would really like, and I would like to take this opportunity to ask, for this communion to exist during the game , because I saw this crowd win games for us. I felt this energy and we need to recover that. That the stadium is not divided, that this crowd is always encouraging our team, which really needs this support, and there will be no shortage of work”, concluded the coach.
