Boca Juniors beat Palmeiras on Thursday night (05) at Allianz Parque in the semi-final of the Copa Libertadores da América. The match thus decided who will play in the final: Boca Juniors X Fluminense. It is the first time in four years that Verdão and Flamengo have not competed for the championship cup.
The Libertadores 2023 final is full of news. It is the first time in Fluminense's history that the team has qualified to play in the final of a continental championship. Last Tuesday, the candidate for re-election for mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, denied the journalist Ancelmo Gois, from Globo. The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

The traditional English magazine FourFourTwo once again put together the South American football ranking, choosing the 33 biggest teams on the continent. In the list, Argentine teams stand out with Boca Juniors and River Plate in first and second position, respectively. Flamengo closes the top 3 in the ranking.
