Thus, Franca faces Flamengo in the grand final of the competition. Game 1 of the decision will be next Saturday (1), at 11am, at Maracanãzinho.
The last time Flamengo was in the NBB decision, in the 2021/22 season, Franca took the title, winning three games, against one of Mais Querido. On the other hand, Rubro-Negro also has good memories of the confrontation. In 2018/2019, Rubro-Negro lifted the trophy against their opponent.
FLAMENGO AND FRANCA CAMPAIGN UNTIL THE FINALRubro-Negro and Franca had identical campaigns in the phase NBB classification. Both teams won 31 games and lost five. However, Mais Querido led, as they won both direct games, with 93 to 67 in December 2023, and 88 to 73.
In the knockouts, Rubro-Negro's performance was 100 % utilization. In the round of 16, two victories over Botafogo. In the quarterfinals, three victories over Fortaleza. In the semis, another "sweep", this time against Bauru.
Franca has two defeats in the playoffs. There were two victories over Mogi, three over Paulistano, but they were overcome in games 2 and 4 of the semifinals against Minas. However, the São Paulo team won duels 1,3 and 5.

This Sunday morning (29), Flamengo debuted in the Apertura do Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) with a victory against Brasília, 91 to 75, at the BRB Nilson Nelson Arena, in the federal capital.
O Mais Querido came from behind in the first period, with Brasília opening 17 points against 15. However, Rubro-Negro came back better in the second quarter and applied 31 to 19, going into the break ahead by 46 to 36 .
Brasília showed a reaction when returning from the break. The home team won the third period 19-18, in a balanced game. However, Pride of the Nation entered the quarter and won the last period with authority, scoring 27 to 21 and achieving victory with ease.
With the victory against Brasília, Mais Querido started at the head of the competition and took the lead. Group A has three teams. Thus, Pride of the Nation is first, while Botafogo, which has not yet debuted, is second. The first two teams advance to the semifinals.
Now, Mais Querido focuses on the next match. Pride of the Nation returns to the courts this Monday (30), at 7:45 pm, when they face Botafogo, at Arena BRB Nilson Nelson, in a game valid for the second round of Group A.

On the afternoon of this past Saturday (28), Flamengo visited Fluminense in a game valid for the first leg of the Carioca U20 Women's final. The teams were only tied at 1-1 and, now, Mais Querido needs to win the return duel to become champion.
In the match between group leaders in the first phase, Flamengo and Fluminense played a busy game, with command of the tricolor team. However, the confrontation ended with no change in the score, and the decision was made on October 5th, in Gávea.
MATCH SUMMARYFluminense were the hosts of the match and started better, imposing himself in the confrontation. However, it was the Mais Querido who opened the scoring first. In the 17th minute, Mariana Fernandes took advantage of the opponent's defense and sent it into the back of the net.
However, Fluminense tied the game at the beginning of the second half. That's because, after three minutes, the tricolor managed to leave everything the same. Still during the match, Rubro-Negro hit the post on two occasions.
NEXT CONFRONTATIONSo, the teams will face each other again on October 5th, at 3pm, in Gávea. In order to win the Carioca Under-20 Women's Championship trophy, Mais Querido needs to beat the Laranjeiras team by two or more goals difference.
