Lucas Siewert is the newest member of FlaBasquete for the 2023/2024 season. The 27-year-old winger, born in Joinville, Santa Catarina, arrives at Flamengoafter defending São Paulo in the last two seasons. At 2.08 meters tall, Lucas "Pipoca" comes to reinforce the red-black team's depth.
Recognized for his ability to shoot from long distances, Lucas Siewert had a remarkable performance, scoring 30 points in a final match of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), converting eight of the nine three-point shots attempted. Furthermore, the player has played for teams such as Corinthians and São Paulo and participated in two editions of the national league's Star Game.

Having started his career at Paulistano, Onwenu played for Corinthians from 2022 to 2024, and was a standout for the São Paulo club during the season. The next step was the G-League, where he played for Capitanes de la Ciudad de México. In Mexico, Daniel improved his game, gaining international experience and maturity, elements that Flamengo is looking for to strengthen its perimeter.
Standing at 1.98m tall, Onwenu is a versatile winger who combines mobility, creative ability and good reading of the game. His arrival at Pride of the Nation brings youth, growth potential and experience in high-level competitions.

MEET THE NEW REINFORCEMENT
Born in the city of Belo Horizonte, Wesley Castro began his career in 2013 at Pinheiros and gained experience at clubs such as Minas, Corinthians and Mogi das Cruzes before landing at Franca. At the São Paulo club, he was a key player in the team's fourth NBB championship, averaging 10.1 points and 4.3 rebounds.
In addition, he won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in 2023 and shone in Franca's last two seasons — including his return after a brief stint in Mexico — returning with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds in his return.
With an imposing physical presence (2.02 m), good efficiency in the paint and solid defense, the pivot represents an important addition to Flamengo 's rotation , adding strength and experience in decisive games, especially at the end of the season.
