Announced last Tuesday (29) as Flamengo's third reinforcement in this transfer window, striker Samuel Lino will be officially presented to the press this Friday (01), at Ninho do Urubu. The press conference will take place before the squad's training session, around 2:30 pm (Brasília time), with live broadcast on Flamengo TV, on YouTube .

Even before the formal presentation, the striker already debuted with the red-black shirt. He was called up by Filipe Luís in the second half of the match against Atlético-MG, last Thursday (31), at Maracanã, for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil . Despite the 1-0 defeat , the number 16 had a standout performance, being one of the most active names on the team in the second half.
Filipe Luís also emphasized the forward's potential impact in upcoming matches: "He's a disruptive player, capable of being decisive in the opposition's box. The pitch speaks, and whoever is better will play ," he added during the post-match press conference.
Samuel Lino signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Flamengo , valid until the end of 2029. To sign the striker from Atlético de Madrid (ESP), the club paid a fixed 22 million euros (approximately R$143.6 million) , with the possibility of an additional 2 million euros (approximately R$13 million) in bonuses for targets achieved.
With Lino already integrated into the squad and available to the coaching staff, Flamengo is preparing for its next match . On Sunday (03), the team visits Ceará, at Arena Castelão, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), for the 18th round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be broadcast live on Premiere.

Striker Michael is facing a difficult period at Flamengo and may be close to a change of scenery. Flamengo's football director, José Boto , revealed previously unpublished details about the signing of midfielder Saúl Ñíguez. In an interview with Portuguese newspaper Record , the director said he had to stay up all night to get the player off a private flight from a Turkish club and secure his arrival in Rio de Janeiro.
According to Boto , the negotiations faced an additional complication: the time difference between Brazil and Spain. " When you do business with Europe, you have the time zone issue. In this case, it was a five-hour time difference to Spain, and that forced me, right after a game, to stay up all night to close the deal at almost five in the morning in Brazil," he said.
Even without scoring his first goal for the Red-Blacks, the Spanish midfielder has already established himself as a solid presence in the team. He has played 13 games, the first three as a substitute and the following ten as a starter , earning two cautions and one assist. His performance has helped solidify the central midfield.
Midfielder Saúl Ñíguez was left out of the match against Bahia last Sunday (5), due to pain in his left ankle. Despite the absence, the coaching staff is not afraid that the player will be left out of the team's next match.
With Saúl available, Flamengo returns to action on October 15th, facing Botafogo at 7:30 pm at Nilton Santos Stadium in the 28th round of the competition. The match will be broadcast exclusively on Premiere (a cable channel).
