After a long soap opera, Flamengo confirmed the arrival of Jorginho in Rio de Janeiro to sign a contract with the Mais Querido. The 33-year-old midfielder will land this Friday (6) at Tom Jobim International Airport at 5:35 am (Brasília time), will undergo medical examinations and will have a meeting with the club's football director José Boto .

For logistical reasons and to avoid interfering with the routine of other passengers, disembarkation will take place in an alternative area , with no provision for press assistance on site.
Upon arrival, Jorginho will undergo medical examinations and then meet with Flamengo's Technical Director of Football , José Boto, at CT George Helal. Full coverage of the day will be available on the club's official social media channels and on FlamengoTV."
To complete his termination with Arsenal, Jorginho gave up approximately 800 thousand pounds, equivalent to around R$6.2 million. The move was necessary for the player to become a free agent and be able to formalize the deal with the Mais Querido without contractual barriers. The move was seen internally as a sign of commitment to the red-and-black project.
While finalizing the final details of the negotiation, the athlete is enjoying a few days off with his family. Jorginho also celebrated his wedding with Irish singer Catherine Harding last Monday (02). After the brief honeymoon, the midfielder will meet with Flamengo 's directors to complete the signing process.
With the signing of the contract on Friday (6), Jorginho confirms his participation wearing the Flamengo shirt in the 2025 Club World Cup .
