The club's idea is to run with the athlete's registration so that he can play in the semi-finals of Carioca

0Flamengo is racing against time to count on its newest reinforcement. Defender Léo Ortiz, signed for €8.5 million between fixed and goals, arrives in Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday (5). The player must train with the group on Wednesday (6). The club's idea is to run with the athlete's registration so that he can play in the Carioca semifinals. The registration deadline ends on Thursday (7).
Journalist Venê Casagrande confirmed that Léo Ortiz will arrive in Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday (5). The 28-year-old player was playing for Red Bull Bragantino. After around two months of negotiations, the two clubs reached an agreement for the transfer to take place. Vice President of Football Marcos Braz was happy with the resolution of the case.
The presence of Léo Ortiz in Flamengo's squad became even more urgent, as starter Fabrício Bruno could be out of action. He suffered a blow at the end of the first half of the 3-0 victory over Madureira. Exams on the face showed a fractured nose. The defender is not 100% confirmed for the first semi-final, Saturday (9), against Fluminense.
The right-handed defender who arrives from Red Bull Bragantino is Flamengo's third reinforcement in this early-year window. Lé Ortiz arrives to fight with Fabrício Bruno for the starting spot. Interestingly, the two played together at Red Bull before Fabrício signed with Rubro-Negro in 2022.
Uruguayans Nicolás De La Cruz and Matías Viña were Flamengo's two other reinforcements at the beginning of 2024. De La Cruz is already Tite's undisputed starter, now playing deeper in midfield. Viña will still have to compete for a place with Ayrton Lucas, but he had good performances in the matches he played in.

The striker signs a contract until June 2025 with Estrela Amadora

0Forward Petterson had his visa regularized and leaves this Thursday (25) for Portugal. Flamengo loaned the 20-year-old player to Estrela Amadora, a team in Portugal's first division. The loan contract between the Portuguese club and Mengão runs until June 2025.
If Estrela Amadora chooses to buy the player, they will have to pay the amount of €750,000 (R$4.4 million ) for 60% of Petterson's economic rights. The information is from Flazoeiro. With 9 goals in 30 games in the 2023 season, the player won three titles in Mengão's youth categories: the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Copa do Brasil under-17, both in 2021, and the Brasileirão Under-20 in 2023. After a During his loan period at Athletico Paranaense, Petterson packed his bags for Portugal.
At the Paraná club, he debuted with a goal, but an act of indiscipline caused him to be removed and no longer play. He even had a new loan to Avaí, which didn't happen. Now he will have another chance to prove himself.
The club finished the last season of the Portuguese League in 14th place, with seven wins, 15 defeats and 12 draws. In the League Cup, the team was eliminated in the first round; in the Portuguese Cup, Estrela Amadora fell through in the fourth round.
The result in the Portuguese Championship, however, was considered satisfactory. This is because the team returned to compete in the local elite after 15 years. The objective was maintenance.
In the new team, Petterson can expect to find many Brazilians among his teammates. The club has names like André Luiz and Daniel Cabral (both ex-Flamengo), Bruno Brígido (ex-Criciúma) and Léo Jabá (ex-Corinthians). Currently the club plays in the pre-season of European football.
Flamengo's attacking midfielder is close to being negotiated with the São Paulo club
|
0One of the jewels of Flamengo, attacking midfielder Matheus Gonçalves, is close to a return to Bragantino. The São Paulo club presented a proposal of 6 million euros, which Flamengo was pleased with, but there are still disagreements about the percentage of economic rights to be transferred.
Bragantino initially offered 5 million euros (approximately R$ 30.6 million) for 70% of Matheus Gonçalves' economic rights, a proposal that was promptly rejected by Flamengo.
Persistent, the São Paulo club increased the offer to 6 million euros (around R$36.8 million), a value that Flamengo considered acceptable. However, Rubro-Negro does not agree with the sale of 70% of the rights, arguing that the fair share to be negotiated is 50%.
Negotiations are still ongoing with good chances of progress, but the clubs are still trying to reach an agreement satisfactory to both. The current impasse is related to the projection of a future sale of the young 18-year-old player, who played for Bragantino on loan in the second half of 2023, where he participated in 13 matches, starting four times and contributing one assist.
Matheus Gonçalves, who will turn 19 on August 18, has a contract with Flamengo until December 2027. The negotiation with Bragantino represents an opportunity for the young attacking midfielder to continue his development in a competitive environment, while Flamengo seeks to guarantee a fair financial return for the talent he has revealed.
