Flamengo remains the Brazilian club with the greatest financial power in the country. So, it is inevitable that this is mentioned by many as an example to be followed and a model to aspire to. Umberto Louzer, coach of Guarani, highlighted the importance of Mais Querido, talking about its credibility in the market.

"Today the club is financially healthy. Today it has credibility. Flamengo experienced the same situation. Football requires financial work , but there is a possibility", said Louzer, comparing Rubro-Negro to where they play.

"Fans have the right to boo, it's the club's heritage. We have worked on the athletes' emotions", he said also the coach, saying a situation that Flamengo is also experiencing, of being financially stable, but not delivering to the public what they expect.

"There's no point in putting the knife to the board's throat, if it's not capable of bringing A or B. In a few years' time, Guarani will be a powerhouse. Climbing step by step. Of course, we're going to give our lives , demand the best from the athlete to get it right", concluded the coach.

Flamengo continues to have numbers to follow in financial terms, even after having recently faced crises. However, the red-and-black club recovered administratively and became a powerhouse on the continent, especially during the last two administrations.

Thus, Mengo buys and signs players frequently, which differs other Brazilian teams. After the financial recovery, Flamengo went on to win titles in South America and Brazil. In this way, Mengo won two Copa Libertadores da América, two Brazilian Championships, in addition to the Brazilian Super Cup.

In sixth place in Series B with just four rounds remaining to the end of the season, Guarani faces an important challenge. In addition to the battles on the pitch, the club is going through a period of financial reconstruction that, in a way, can be compared to what Flamengo experienced in the past. Guarani coach Umberto Louzer expressed this analogy at a press conference.

Louzer highlighted that fans have the right to express their discontent when necessary, as they are the club's true assets. However, the coach also emphasized the work done to manage the emotional aspect of the players in the face of difficulties. He recalled that the club is going through a period of financial health, something that Flamengo also had to achieve.

Mengão, in the not too distant past, went through a similar situation under the management of Eduardo Bandeira de Mello. In the next round, Guarani will face Londrina in an away match, and victory is crucial to keep alive the hope of entering the G-4. For this to happen, Novorizontino, currently in fourth place, and Juventude, in fifth, need to stumble.

Coach Louzer emphasized the importance of being realistic and not putting pressure on the board beyond its financial capabilities. He believes that Guarani is on an upward path and that, with dedication and effort, the club will become a powerhouse on the sporting scene in the coming years. The climb up the football hierarchy will be gradual, but the commitment to success is non-negotiable.

Despite the fluctuations in the team's performance at a critical moment of the season, Louzer highlighted the determination of the group of players to give back up. He encouraged them not to lower their heads in the face of challenges and to maintain the expectation of reaching Serie A, an ambitious goal for the club.

Guarani's central objective is to return to Serie A in 2024 and build a team capable of competing competitively in the elite of Brazilian football. The last time Guarani participated in the first division was in 2010, when they faced Flamengo and had a memorable performance, beating the rubro-negro in the Brinco de Ouro. Unfortunately, in the second round in Rio, Flamengo came out on top, winning 2-1 and relegating Guarani to Série B.

That season, Flamengo also beat Guarani at Engenhão, with goals from Renato Abreu and Diego Maurício, while Baiano scored for Bugre. These memories serve as inspiration for Guarani, who seeks to write a new story and achieve their goals of success in Brazilian football.
