Flamengo signed Léo Ortiz, De La Cruz and Matías Viña at transfer window that closed on Thursday (07). With the three reinforcements, Mais Querido spent R$158.022 million and led the ranking of Brazilian clubs that spent the most in 2024.

Currently, Flamengo is the leader of the ranking, ahead of Botafogo and Corinthians , which are in second and third positions, respectively. Alvinegro from Rio de Janeiro spent R$131 million, while the São Paulo team used R$130 million to hire reinforcements.

1st Flamengo – R$158 million

2nd Botafogo – R$ 131 million

3rd Corinthians – R$ 130 million

4th Vasco – R$ 120 million

5th Palmeiras – R$ 90 million

Currently, only De La Cruz and Matías Viña have debuted in the Flamengo shirt this season. This is because Léo Ortiz arrived at Rubro-Negro on Tuesday (06) to introduce himself to Mais Querido, after long negotiations with Red Bull Bragantino.

Léo Ortiz, in fact, is linked by Flamengo to the duel with Fluminense, this Saturday (09). The athlete participated in Red Bull Bragantino's first games at the beginning of the season and is therefore in good physical condition. The player will start the match on the bench.

Léo Ortiz made his debut in the Flamengo. This is because the defender was the scorer of Mais Querido in the victory against Palestino (CHI) last Wednesday (10). Thus, the defender participated in FlaTV's "Game Review" section and spoke about his first goal.

“It's a place I like to attack on set pieces, there on the first stick. It's no secret to anyone, at my old club I did this very well. It's a place I like to attack, Lorran also realized that he had an advantage in the first half, they didn't defend that well there and I was able to have the speed and reading to get ahead of the marker”, said Léo Ortiz.

LÉO ORTIZ REVEALS THAT IT WAS HIS BEST DEBUT

The defender also says that this was the best debut in his career. Now, the player is hoping to remain in the starting lineup in the match against Atlético GO, next Sunday (14).

“It was my first goal on debut. In other words, my main career debut. As a professional for Internacional I gave an assist, at Red Bull Bragantino I took a ball over the line and this time, for Flamengo, I came away with the goal. So everything went perfect, with a victory, which was very celebrated by us”, he added.

LÉO TALKS ABOUT ANXIETY FOR THE PREMIERE

“A The anxiety was very high (to debut). Of course, I had to keep my head steady and prepared, especially on a daily basis, be working and know that the moment could come. But I had to be prepared for it. Of these five games, four were at Maracanã, so it was also important for me to know what it was like to wear the Flamengo shirt, to be there”, he concluded.

NEXT MATCH

In this way, with Léo Ortiz at his disposal, Tite will lead this Friday (12) the second day of training for the Mais Querido aiming to debut in the Brazilian Championship. Next Sunday (14), Flamengo and Atlético GO face each other at Serra Dourada, at 4pm.
