Runner-up in the last edition of New Basquete Brasil (NBB), Flamengo renewed coach Gustavo De Conti for another season. The multi-champion coach with the Rio de Janeiro club extended his contract and will be on the court again next season.
The coach has been at Rubro-Negro since 2018, when he arrived from Paulistano, and made history for the Gávea club . Since then, he has won two NBB titles, three Super 8 Cup cups, five state cups, as well as the Champions League Americas and the FIBA World Cup.
In April this year, already thinking about the Pre-Olympics, Gustavo , who shared attention, left his position as coach of the Brazilian national team and was replaced by Aleksandar Petrovic. The Brazilian Confederation, at the time, reported that the decision was by mutual agreement between the parties.

Olivinha retired from the basketball court after Flamengo's season in the competition ended. Idol of the Most Beloved and an example for all those who practice the sport, the star received several tributes, including from Franco Balbi.
