Wednesday was the Brazilian Championship for Flamengo fans. Therefore, the team led by Tite entered the field and in the Maracanã, faced the pressured São Paulo de Carpine. In this sense, the Gávea team won 2x1 over their rival from São Paulo, achieving their second victory in two games in this Brasileirão. SUMMARY

Flamengo took the better in the initial stage at Maracanã and took the lead with a great goal from Luiz Araújo, in the 19th minute. The striker, trained by São Paulo and who came on in the 12th minute to replace the injured Everton Cebolinha, received a pass from De la Cruz, passed by Michel Araujo and hit the spot, with no chance for goalkeeper Rafael. With more technical resources, Rubro-Negro was dangerous whenever they attacked. On the tricolor side, although the team managed to appear frequently in attack, the lack of creativity hurt. At the best opportunity, Alisson shot weakly, easy for Rossi, instead of serving the attackers Calleri and Luciano.

After the break, the one who got the crowd going in the second half was Bruno Henrique. The team captain this Wednesday (17) received the ball on the left wing, advanced, pulled it into the middle and hit it hard, but Rafael threw it for a corner after seven minutes. But the one who really made the crowd cheer was De La Cruz! In the eighth minute, Pedro received it from Ayrton Lucas, cut the defender, hit, but Rafael rebounded. In the remainder, the tireless Uruguayan number 18 took advantage of the rebound and threw it into the back of the net, increasing the score at Maracanã.

The match seemed calm for Rubro-Negro, Tite began to rotate the squad, taking names like Bruno Henrique and De La Cruz, giving chances to Gerson and Victor Hugo. However, in a rare attack by São Paulo, the visitors managed to pull one back in the 33rd minute. Alisson received it from the right and crossed into the area, for Ferreirinha to head home. Flamengo 2×1 São Paulo.

And now?

Tite's men now have nothing more, nothing less than Palmeiras, away from home in the next round. The two teams have been competing for the top of Brazilian football in recent seasons. The match takes place on the 21st, Sunday, at Allianz Parque, at 4pm. Next, Tiome da Gávea has the Libertadores on the way. In this sense, they face Bolívar, away from home on the 24th, next Wednesday, at 9:30 pm.
