Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade announced that she will no longer compete in the Floor and Individual All-around events in the next Olympic cycles. The decision marks a significant change in the athlete's career, which has achieved great recognition in these modalities.

Rebeca stated that the effort and physical demand to compete in multiple modalities are very great, which led her to focus her energies in other tests. The Asymmetrical Bars and Vault are the disciplines where she intends to focus her training and competition from now on.

FLAMENGO REAFFIRM

Rebeca Andrade has already made history in Brazilian and world artistic gymnastics. She is remembered for her memorable Solo performance, especially for the "Accordion Movement", which became one of the most captivating series in gymnastics. Her talent and charisma in her presentations won over fans and judges, consolidating her position as one of the main gymnasts in the world.

Rebeca's decision can be seen as a strategy to prolong her career in the sport. Intense training and frequent competitions in Floor and All-Around events require great physical exhaustion, and focusing on fewer modalities can help avoid injuries and maintain high performance in specific competitions.
