This Tuesday (28), at 9pm (Brasília time), the Libertadores has a decisive clash at Maracanã in the fight for classification between Brazilians and Colombians. Flamengo receives Millonarios thinking only about victory, which will qualify them for the next phase, and which could even give them the lead in the group, if Bolívar loses to Palestino.
Millionarios is no longer has a better chance of qualifying, but a victory for the Colombians could mean that the red-black team's place in the round of 16 is at risk. But, on the other hand, coach Tite's team can rely on a largely favorable record in duels against Colombians with Fla as the main team in history.
Flamengo's record against Colombian teams at Maracanã is broadly positive and inspires the Rio club to dream of a more relaxed victory this Tuesday. There were 10 games in history, with 8 wins, 1 draw and only 1 defeat. In the last game, by the way, Mengão beat Tolima 7-1, on the way to the competition's third title, in 2022.
Flamengo's only defeat at Maracanã was to América de Cali, in the Libertadores of 1993, in which the Red Devils won 3-1, with a goal from the legendary Freddy Rincón for América.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

Tite's team does its last training session at Ninho do Urubu

Flamengo concluded, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (18), at Ninho do Urubu, its preparation for the clash against Peñarol, which will take place tomorrow (19), at 7pm, at Maracanã, in the quarter-finals of the Libertadores . Coach Tite led a tactical training session to define the starters who will start the decisive match.
The team receives good news with the return of De La Cruz, who is fully recovered from a muscle injury and will be available by Tite. Furthermore, reinforcements Alex Sandro, Carlos Alcaraz and Gonzalo Plata, who were recently registered in the competition, will also be ready to reinforce Mais Querido.
On the other hand, Flamengo will be missing striker Luiz Araújo, who will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The player was injured in the first half of the classic against Vasco, last Sunday, and will be absent from the team in the next matches.
Flamengo and Peñarol have faced each other 15 times throughout history, with a total balance. There were six wins for CRF, three draws and six defeats. The last meeting between the teams took place in the 2019 Libertadores, in Montevideo, and ended in a goalless draw.
The match will be broadcast live exclusively on ESPN and Disney+. FlaTV and FlaTV+ will start coverage from 4pm with the pre-game, while the audio narration of the game, at 7pm, will be conducted by a 100% red-black team.
