The Pride of the Nation will be looking for their third Champions League title in the Americas. Thus, the Flamengo squad arrived in Argentina this past Wednesday (10), to compete in the Final Four of the competition. With the squad complete, Mais Querido disembarked in Buenos Aires, where he will do some training before traveling again.

Rubro-Negro also did some training last Wednesday night (10) and slept in the Argentine capital. This Thursday (11), the Mais Querido squad embarks towards Santiago Del Estero, the venue that will host the Final Four of the Champions League of the Americas. The semi-finals and the continental final will be played in the city in the north of the country.

FLAMENGO CAST FOR THE FINAL FOUR DISPUTE


O Mais Querido is seen as the big favorite to win the Champions League of the Americas and will have the entire squad available. Flamengo beat Pinheiros this Monday (08), 73 to 59, at Maracanazinho. The match concluded the red and black participation in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) regular season. Coach Gustavo de Conti's team finished in first place and awaits the definition of their opponent in the quarterfinals. Overall, there were 36 games, with 31 wins and just five losses. Rubro-Negro scored 67 points.

Flamengo started the first quarter with more intensity. Gui Deodato, with five points, and Didi, with four points led the red-black team in scoring. In the end, 17 to 12 for Fla, who managed to make the defense work against Pinheiros.

In the second quarter, Pinheiros increased the pace and managed to undo Flamengo's advantage. Scott Machado scored six points, but was unable to prevent Pinheiros' partial victory by 18 to 15. The two teams went to halftime with a tight score of 32 to 30 for Flamengo


Flamengo took off in the third quarter. The 26 to 12 partial was built on a very strong defense and good use of the attacks. Scott Machado led the red-and-black baskets once again, with five points. Maique also scored five points. Gabriel Jaú and Olivinha helped a lot with four points each.


Flamengo managed the advantage in the last quarter. Pinheiros came forward and managed to command the score in the final minutes. The partial was 17 to 15 for Pinheiros, but Rubro-Negro still won 73 to 59. Now, Fla awaits its opponent in the NBB quarterfinals to continue in search of the 9th national basketball title.< /p>
