Rubro-negro is no closer to the championship leaders
|
0Flamengo entered the field in another match of the Brazilian Championship this Saturday. The opponent was Corinthians, at NEO Química Arena. However, interim coach Mário Jorge's men did not play a brilliant game, and were tied 1-1 with Paulistas, thanks to a great goal from midfielder/midfielder Gerson and a penalty goal scored by Fábio Santos. The victory brings Flamengo closer of the championship leaders, that is, dreaming of the national title.
SUMMARY
Under intense rain in Itaquera, Corinthians adopted a more aggressive stance than custom and, in the first 15 minutes, he marked Flamengo's ball out, preventing Everton Ribeiro and Gerson from participating much in the game – this initial pressure also generated chances, such as a shot from Renato Augusto from outside the area that scared the goalkeeper Rossi. However, with more quality than their rival, Rubro-negro gradually imposed their style and pushed Timão back, exchanging passes from one side to the other, with patience, and finding spaces. The departure of Bruno Méndez, injured, and the entry of Fagner, left Mano Menezes' team a little more exposed defensively – and the chances began to appear. The team from São Paulo only had the boy Wesley as an escape valve on the left side, but, alone, he was unable to carry so much danger. In the final stretch, Yuri Alberto still managed a shot after a mistake by Ayrton Lucas, but Rossi saved it. The score didn't come from zero, but Flamengo left the field better.
In the second stage, the panorama remained the same, with Flamengo being the master of the game and having the actions, while Corinthians defended and left when possible. As he played better, the goal wouldn't take long. In this sense, Flamengo opened the scoring with a great cross from Gerson, which was undefendable for goalkeeper Cássio. After the goal, Corinthians tried to be more aggressive, but the red and black team had good control of the game. However, Flamengo "sat" on the result and Corinthians, through dead balls and strength, came forward and ended up achieving it. the draw, with a penalty converted by Fábio Santos.
In the end, it wasn't the best game technically, and the draw was fair.
NOW WHAT?With the draw, Flamengo is in fifth place with 44 points and could see the distance to the championship leaders increase, as Botafogo, Bragantino, Palmeiras and Grêmio still play in the round this Sunday.
In the next round, Flamengo faces Cruzeiro, in Minas Gerais. The match takes place on 10/19.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

The referee's summary also reports the expulsion of another ball boy for delaying the restart of the game and balls that were not returned by the fans

0The defeat of Flamengo 2-1 to Corinthians featured a bad performance, it's true, but also a match in the style of against everything and against everyone. In Itaquera, Flamengo faced some off-field factors that harmed the match. The referee's summary shows some of these problems, such as the attitudes of the ball boys at Neo Química Arena.
Judge Ramon Abatti Abel reported that he had to expel a ball boy in the 46th minute of the second when he noticed that he was emptying one of the balls of the match to hinder the progress of the game, hindering the restart and Mengo's search for the equalizing goal.
“I inform you that in the 46th minute of the second half, I expelled ball boy Alessandro da Silva from the field of play, for delaying the restart of the game, deflating the ball that was in his possession”, writes Ramon Abatti Abel.
But this was not the only case. Another ball boy expulsion had already taken place in the 25th minute, due to the delay in replacing the ball, seeking to disrupt the game and prevent Flamengo from growing in the match.
“I inform you that in the 25th minute of the second half, I expelled ball boy Thiago Mastrochirico Rezetti from the field of play, for delaying the restart of the game, taking too long to return the ball to the opposing team”, he adds.
Another factor reported in Ramon Abatti Abel's summary involved the Corinthians fans. In games, it is common for some balls to reach the fans, but they need to be returned, which usually happens. But there were two Corinthians fans who didn't return the balls.
There were two balls kicked into the stands that didn't return to the field of play. In addition, two other balls returned, but also deflated.
“I also inform you that two balls kicked towards the home crowd did not return to the field of play. These balls were not returned to the game. Two other balls returned to the playing field, deflated, they were also not put back into play”, he adds.
