0Last week, Jojo Todynho decided to criticize Bolsa Família, a distribution program of income from the Federal Government, which aims to reduce extreme poverty data in Brazil. The influencer questioned the effectiveness of the benefit, stating that some women "have more children just to receive the aid money and spend it on hair, nails and tanning".
In this way, Gil do Vigor, without mentioning the singer's name, spoke out on Instagram last Saturday (9), when explaining the benefits of public policies like this : “Let’s talk about Bolsa Família, which, in fact, transformed Brazil. The program was an income transfer, taking from those who have a lot to those who have nothing and reducing extreme poverty. It even reduced and improved food insecurity and educational inclusion”, he began.
Soon afterwards, Gil< /b> detailed how the aid works: “It is a low-cost program for the government, because it only represents 0.5% of GDP. My family benefited, my mother was one of the first. We were starving sadly, folks. Because it provides support for those who need to live with dignity, those who seek opportunity”, he said.
Soon after, he spoke about people who use the benefit in the wrong way: “Now, of course, will there always be an extreme? Go. For example, unemployment insurance: there are those workers who are going to leave their job and, even though they know they will have three or four months of insurance, they go and look for a job the next day, and they look until they find it, folks. But there will also be another one who will wait until the last day of the insurance to start looking”, he pointed out, before completing:
“But what can you say that, because of this, from this other group, I will take away the worker’s benefit? No, people, because it is a right. I cannot want to judge an entire Brazil, an entire country, because of a small group of people that exist. There will always be extremes”, he assured.
Still in the publication, he spoke about the research he promotes: “But we need to provide assistance to the majority, to the masses. This is why public income redistribution policies are important. And that is exactly why I and other researchers are studying to understand the impacts of these policies in all their nuances”, he reported.
At the end of his explanation, Gil do Vigor took the opportunity to give a "nip": “But that's it, we need scientific analyzes to be able to talk about any point, because that's important. Data or information about public policies brings knowledge, some policies will be good, others will not. And we adjust over time. But it is an important basis for us to talk about these policies”, he said.
