Flamengo beat Atlético-MG 1-0 on Sunday night (27), at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 17th round of the Brazilian Championship. With the positive result, Mais Querido reached 36 points and retook the isolated leadership of the competition , even having one game less in relation to direct competitors.
The only goal of the game was scored by Léo Ortiz, who appeared unmarked in the box and headed in a precise cross from Luiz Araújo. It was Flamengo 's third consecutive victory, now solidifying its position as one of the main forces in the current season's championship.
At the end of the match, striker Hulk , captain of Atlético-MG, assessed the team's performance and expressed frustration with the result . According to him, the Minas Gerais team was well organized in the first half and managed to neutralize the opponent's main offensive moves.
