This Saturday morning (1), Flamengo and Franca play the first game of the NBB final, at 11am, at Maracanãzinho. Olivinha, Mais Querido's idol, will retire at the end of the tournament. Thus, the athlete commented on the expectation.
"It has a special taste, yes. It's my last NBB final and I'm going to enjoy every second. I've been doing this throughout this season, because I knew I was going to retiring at the end of the season, so I enjoyed every moment", said Olivinha, this Friday (31).
"And now, in this final, it's going to be very special because it's going to be the last of the my career as a basketball player, so make the most of it, enjoy the most, put all my energy in there to try to help Flamengo to, who knows, seek another NBB title", concluded the Flamengo idol.
OLIVINHA'S CAREEROlivinha will be able to lift his seventh NBB title this current season, as the Nation's idol won the competition six times with Flamengo. Furthermore, he seeks to end his long career at Mais Querido with another trophy, totaling 27.
FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTWith an average of eight points, four rebounds and taking advantage of 66% in shots on the court, Olivinha is available to Gustavo de Conti in another NBB match. Therefore, the winger will enter the court this Saturday morning (1), at 11am, at Maracanãzinho, against Franca.

This Sunday morning (29), Flamengo debuted in the Apertura do Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) with a victory against Brasília, 91 to 75, at the BRB Nilson Nelson Arena, in the federal capital.
O Mais Querido came from behind in the first period, with Brasília opening 17 points against 15. However, Rubro-Negro came back better in the second quarter and applied 31 to 19, going into the break ahead by 46 to 36 .
Brasília showed a reaction when returning from the break. The home team won the third period 19-18, in a balanced game. However, Pride of the Nation entered the quarter and won the last period with authority, scoring 27 to 21 and achieving victory with ease.
With the victory against Brasília, Mais Querido started at the head of the competition and took the lead. Group A has three teams. Thus, Pride of the Nation is first, while Botafogo, which has not yet debuted, is second. The first two teams advance to the semifinals.
Now, Mais Querido focuses on the next match. Pride of the Nation returns to the courts this Monday (30), at 7:45 pm, when they face Botafogo, at Arena BRB Nilson Nelson, in a game valid for the second round of Group A.

The biggest idol in Flamengo's history, Zico made it clear that he will never ask for the club's legendary number 10 shirt to be retired. Although no player in the current squad is using the number, after Gabigol missed this chance, Galinho stated that he is against the idea of preserving the number forever as a form of tribute.
In an interview with the channel “Faaaala, Craque !”, on YouTube, the former player highlighted how satisfying it is for a professional athlete to wear a shirt with such a historic number. Faced with comments about the absence of a player wearing Mengão's number 10, Zico declared his opinion:
“He really doesn't have the number 10. But I will never ask to remove the number, I am against that. If you took Pelé away, for example, you wouldn't be able to play, have the satisfaction of playing. I'm not worried about that. Football is not basketball”, said Galinho.
In May, after a leaked photo in which Gabigol appears wearing the Corinthians shirt, Flamengo imposed a punishment on the attacker, which included a fine and the removal of the iconic number 10 shirt. See the statement issued by the club:
“The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that, after a meeting with the vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, and other directors of the department, the athlete Gabriel Barbosa was fined and informed by the director that he will no longer wear the red-black number 10 shirt in competitions where the number may be changed. ”
Gabigol “inherited” the number after the retirement of Diego Ribas, at the end of 2022. The striker wore the legendary shirt in 72 matches, being a starter in 47 of them. During this period, he scored 22 goals, provided four assists and won the 2024 Campeonato Carioca. After the incident, Gabriel started to wear the number 99 shirt at Flamengo.
