Despite having a stellar cast on his hands, Tite also works to give players a chance throughout the season. The arch-rivals have 21 points with two rounds remaining, but Rubro-Negro is ahead as they have the most positive goal difference.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Flamengo's Under-16 team debuted this Saturday in the Guilherme Embry Tournament against Bangu and drew goalless but won on penalties. In the championship regulations, when there is a tie, a penalty shootout takes place, and the winner of the penalty kicks gets an extra point in addition to the point of the draw in regular time. With this, Mais Querido added 2 points in the competition.
In the next move, Enzo made a beautiful deep pass to Ryan Roberto, who crossed the ball into the opponent's hands. First half ended goalless.
