Known for her striking personality and her trajectory as a former resident of Bangu, Jojo Todynho is expanding her musical horizons by participating in the samba-enredo competition of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel. The singer is one of the authors of one of the ten sambas competing to be the school's official anthem for Carnival 2025.
Mocidade's plot for the next Carnival, entitled “Voltando para o Futuro – Não Há Limites Pra Sonhar”, promises to mix innovation and nostalgia in Marquês de Sapucaí. Jojo Todynho, who appears confident, hopes to see his composition shine on the avenue. She writes the samba together with Beto Corrêa, Rodrigo Medeiros, Cristiano Plácido, Guto Listo, Gilberto Monteiro, Wilson Paulino, Márcia Carvalho, Giacomo and Samir Trindade. Like Jojo, another great figure in Rio funk, Anitta, is making her debut in the samba-enredo universe. The singer is one of the authors of one of the sambas competing to represent Unidos da Tijuca at Carnival 2025. The school's plot, “Logun-Edé – Santo Menino Que Velho Respeita”, seeks to honor Afro-Brazilian traditions, and Anitta , in partnership with director and producer Estevão Ciavatta, Feyjão, Miguel PG, Fred Camacho and Diego Nicolau, tries to bring a new sound to the dispute.

Born in Madureira, the birthplace of Rio samba, Arlindo was also a passionate Flamengo fan.
His retirement from the stage occurred after suffering a stroke in 2017, which impacted his career and health. Singer Milton Nascimento and record label Sony Music filed a lawsuit against Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, alleging the improper use of the song "Clube da Esquina nº 2".
