To play for Flamengo in the tournament, he will only need to agree to terminate his contract - a step considered to be completed.
The Mais Querido will make its debut in the Club World Cup on June 16, in the United States, against Espérance de Tunis . The intercontinental tournament will start two days earlier, on the 14th. Mengão will also face Chelsea and LAFC in the group stage.
