Flamengo is getting closer to signing midfielder Jorginho , currently at Arsenal . The 100th goal came on a precise header from Léo Pereira , following a move initiated by Arrascaeta and a perfect cross from Samuel Lino from the left. Shortly after, the 101st goal came again from the left: Arrascaeta hit a trivela to Gonzalo Plata, who finished to extend the red-and-black lead.
The match also marked Filipe Luís's 60th game as Flamengo 's manager. The former full-back took over in October 2024, following Tite's departure, leaving the club's youth academy to manage the first team .
