Flamengo is going through a huge crisis and a defeat to Corinthians at Maracanã could mean the dismissal of coach Tite. According to journalist Mauro Cezar Pereira, the oil is already heating up in the Adenor frying process.

“Saturday, at 4 pm, Flamengo and Corinthians will face each other at Maracanã. If Tite avoided debuting for the Rio club against his former team last year, precisely a match against him could mark his farewell. The modus operandi of the Flamengo board is known. And the oil is already heating up waiting for another technician in the frying process”, wrote Mauro in his column on UOL.

Also according to Mauro Cezar Pereira, people close to Flamengo's board of directors disagree when they are questioned about the Tite's work.

“People who live in the football department on a daily basis only respond with clichés like 'We'll keep working. Time to talk less and work more’. Others, who orbit power in Gávea, make predictions: ‘I believe that a defeat will make the climate unsustainable”, he pondered.

“In this way, the climate for exchange will be created. Paying a fine has become routine, no one is surprised anymore. Those who follow Tite's day-to-day life say that the coach is not thinking about resigning. ‘If a catastrophe doesn’t happen, he will continue until the end of the contract’. But this disaster is not unlikely, as red and black football seems capable of plunging further into the crisis”, concluded Mauro.
