The match between Flamengo and Atlético-GO continue to generate debates and discussions about arbitration, which was quite controversial. This is the case of well-known journalists who discussed the referee's mistakes on social media. Among them, Arnaldo Ribeiro and Rodrigo Mattos, who had made a post about the situation involving the flyer taken by Ayrton Lucas.

“Obviously the 'robbery, big hand' crowd won't talk about the sole in the middle from Ayrton Lucas' chest in the middle of the first half, which would result in expulsion in 99% of Conmebol games. Horrible refereeing, it was wrong in Flamengo's favor too. But people want narrative, not improving anything”, published Rodrigo Mattos, coming out in defense of Rubro-Negro.

However, Rodrigo Mattos' opinion outraged Arnaldo Ribeiro, who replied:  “Narrative is ignoring an invented penalty at 55 of the second half, which defines a match. This is an incomparable move, my dear”, accusing that Atlético-GO had been harmed in the confrontation.

MATTOS REBATE ARNALDO'S ACCUSATION

After Arnaldo accuse the game between Flamengoand Atlético GO was "bought", Rodrigo Mattos made a rejoinder recalling good journalistic practices and provoking his UOL companion.

“ Maybe in addition to arbitration, we need to discuss journalism. In the school I studied at, no one is accused of theft before investigating with evidence. I imagine, for example, that you have proof that today's judge rigged the game in Flamengo's favor. At least an AI report”, he replied.

RODRIGO MATTOS COMPARES ARNALDO TO JOHN TEXTOR

The argument used by Rodrigo made a clear reference to the owner of the Botafogo, John Textor, who recently accused the CBF of corruption in arbitration and declared that he had evidence regarding the manipulation of results, even stating that he had recordings of referees asking for bribes. However, he delivered a report prepared by Artificial Intelligence, without conclusive evidence.

After a convincing 4-2 victory over Juventude at Maracanã, coach Filipe Luís commented on Flamengo and preparation for the next duel against Internacional, valid for the 17th round of the Brazilian Championship. He highlighted the total focus on Inter, despite the first match of the final against Atlético-MG, scheduled for November 3.

The victory was important for Mais Querido to maintain competitiveness in the Brasileirão, but Filipe Luís highlighted the lack of options in the squad. The coach confirmed that the team will face Internacional with a "lean" squad, mainly due to important absences.

MISSES FOR FILIPE LUÍS

Among the prolonged absences, the coach mentioned Viña and Pedro, with returns estimated for the long term, in addition to De La Cruz and Alex Sandro, who still need more recovery time.

— Viña and Pedro will be long-term, Nico (De La Cruz) will still need time to recover. And Alex (Sandro), let's see how he evolves during the week. So there are few of us. What I'm looking at now is this game. Of course the final is here, it's the game of the year. Everyone knows how important this title is here. I need everyone. Some will play, some will rest, but always thinking about beating Inter, which is the most important thing — added the coach.

ARRASCAETA AND LÉO PEREIRA SUSPENDED FOR THE GAME AGAINST INTERNACIONAL

Arrascaeta, suspended for Wednesday's match after receiving their third yellow card against Juventude. Even so, the coach highlighted that the focus is to maintain intensity and seek victory in Porto Alegre, preparing the squad for the difficulties that may arise in the game against Inter.

— (I think) about beating Internacional. Only thing I think about. Prepare the game well, prepare all the solutions for the players, which they may have difficulties with during the game, how we are going to attack, how we are going to defend. And beat Internacional. And I'm not just saying this, I do it. And I ask them to do this too. There's no point in looking at the table. Everything depends on beating Internacional. At Flamengo it's intense, the important thing is to always look at the next goal — concluded the coach.
