Another athlete from Flamengo has attracted attention in the transfers. Ayrton Lucas, 27-year-old left-back, was on the list of possible reinforcements for Fenerbahçe, a traditional Turkish club. The information was released by Turkish journalist Koray Guçlu, who detailed the interest in his local program.

"There is a a situation that I discovered and that will make you curious. A name from Brazil, Ayrton Lucas, plays for Flamengo. He has already played for Spartak Moscow and the Brazilian team. versatile player, able to act as a left winger in a 3-5-2 formation", said Guçlu, highlighting the full-back's qualities.

GRÊMIO ALSO SHOWS INTEREST

On the national scene, the name of Ayrton Lucas was also considered as a reinforcement in the Grêmio. According to Daniel Oliveira, a journalist at Band-RS, the club from Rio Grande do Sul presented a loan proposal to the CRF. The contract would be valid until the end of 2025, including a purchase option at the end of the period.

"Grêmio management is looking for a starting left-back after the departure of Reinaldo, who did not renew his contract. Ayrton Lucas is seen as the ideal name to fill this gap", said Oliveira in a post on social media. Ayrton Lucas had a standout year for Mengão in 2024, participating in 60 games, the highest number among outfield players. He was second only to goalkeeper Rossi, who played 61 games with the Sacred Mantle

Despite speculation , journalist Venê Casagrande, from SBT Rio, reported that there has been no official proposal from the player so far. According to him, Flamengo did not receive formal communication from any of the interested parties. Mais Querido remains attentive to the market and movements involving its athletes, while Ayrton Lucas remains an important player in coach Filipe Luis' squad.

Flamengo, the sole leader of the Brazilian Championship with 47 points, maintains a good lead in the standings . Even so, Botafogo's SAF owner, John Textor, said he believes his team can close the gap on Flamengo .

John Textor on Flamengo in the Brasileirão: "We can get close"

"The season doesn't start in April. We had that mentality last year, and it was the best in 20 years. There was an unexpected coaching change. Flamengo is 10 points ahead of us, but we can get close . Let's try," said the director.

REAL DISTANCE: 12 POINTS

In practice, the difference is even greater than Textor pointed out. While Flamengo has 47 points, Botafogo is only fifth with 35, 12 points behind . Furthermore, the black and white team would still have to contend with the stumbles of four other teams to compete in the Brasileirão.

SEASONS IN CONTRAST

Botafogo was eliminated in the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals on penalties against Vasco da Gama, and had already fallen in the Copa Libertadores round of 16 to LDU . Flamengo, on the other hand, remains firmly in the title race: they are in the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals, lead the Brasileirão, and won the Supercopa do Brasil against Botafogo earlier this season.
