Gabigol's story with Flamengo is coming to an end. With a contract until December this year, the attacker did not accept the renewal proposal sent by Rubro-Negro. One of those interested in counting on the player's services is Palmeiras. This Friday (28), the president of the São Paulo club, Leila Pereira, was asked about the possible signing. The director's statements further fueled speculation about the future of number 9.

“Palmeiras is always attentive to the market, but we never talk about names for the sake of of strategy”, commented Leila Pereira, in an interview with GE. Despite the manager's mystery, Gabigol's own manager, Júnior Pedroso, cited the São Paulo team as a possible destination for the Flamengo striker. This statement gave strength to rumors of a possible negotiation between the parties. Palmeiras fans have already started demonstrating on social media asking for the striker to be signed.

Gabigol could sign a pre-contract with Palmeiras from Monday- fair (01), if the parties reach an agreement. However, the player could only join the São Paulo team in 2025, as he has a contract with Flamengo until December 31st. The alternative for Leila Pereira's club, in order to count on the player immediately, is to reach an agreement with Rubro-Negro for an immediate release. Despite mentioning Abel Ferreira's team, Júnior Pedroso confirmed that he has not yet received a formal proposal.

“We have read a lot more things than we have seen. We know that Palmeiras likes him, there were previous discussions back there, but Palmeiras did not take a new approach in relation to discussing the transfer now”, said businessman Júnior Pedroso. The declaration demonstrates that, despite mutual interest, there is still a way to go for the agreement to be implemented. Gabigol's future remains uncertain and depends on new negotiations.

“Even in favor of the respect we have with Flamengo, of not talking to other clubs until July, I imagine that a new cycle will open from July 1st for us to resolve Gabriel's future. Gabriel’s future will not be resolved in December”, added the businessman, in an interview with SporTV. If he leaves Flamengo in the middle of the year, which opens on July 10th, Gabigol will only be able to play one more game for Tite's team. After all, according to Brasileirão regulations, if the player plays seven matches, he will not be able to compete in the competition on another team. Currently, number 99 has entered the field five times for Mengão.

Flamengo is close to signing two important reinforcements for the season. Marcos Antônio, currently at Lazio, and André Franco, Estoril's standout, have been in the Rio club's sights since the beginning of the year. Information from reliable sources indicates that negotiations are advanced and could be finalized soon.

Marcos Antônio is a versatile player. In addition to being a midfielder, he also acts as a midfielder, offering the coach a range of options. The athlete's tactical flexibility is one of the points that most caught the attention of Flamengo's board. At just 22 years old, Marcos Antônio already has international experience, having spent time at Shakhtar Donetsk, in Ukraine, and now at Lazio, in Italy.

On the other hand, André Franco, who also plays both as a midfielder and as a midfielder, is one of the revelations of Portuguese football. At 24 years old, the Estoril player has shown a high level of football, which aroused the interest of Flamengo. Franco is known for his ability to control the midfield, distributing the ball well and helping in the transition between defense and attack.

< The arrival of these two players should further strengthen Flamengo's squad, which is looking for titles in all the competitions it competes in. The team, which already has a star-studded squad, sees Marcos Antônio and André Franco as fundamental pieces to maintain the high level of performance.

Marcos Antônio should arrive in Rio de Janeiro in the next few days. Negotiations with Lazio progressed quickly, and the player would already have everything agreed to join the red-and-black squad. The young Brazilian is excited about the possibility of playing for Flamengo, one of the most popular and traditional clubs in Brazil.

O Flamengo is already in Belo Horizonte to face Atlético-MG this Wednesday, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Arena MRV. With Rubro-Negro defending the leadership of the Brazilian Championship, the match promises excitement, especially with some changes in the lineup. After Chile's elimination from the Copa América, Erick Pulgar returned this Tuesday and trained normally at Ninho do Urubu.

As a result, there is the possibility that Pulgar will start the match in Lorran's place. Another expected novelty is the entry of Carlinhos in Pedro's place. Brazil's top scorer traveled with the group, but showed a high rate of wear and tear and will probably start on the bench to be preserved.

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW ATTACK AGAINST ATLÉTICO-MG

The information that Carlinhos trained in the first team was initially released by journalist Venê Casagrande and confirmed by ge. Everton Cebolinha and Igor Jesus are still out. The striker is still recovering from a hip injury, while the midfielder returned to training last Monday with the group, but is still not fit to play.

With these changes, the likely lineup for the Flamengo for match against Atlético-MG should be: Rossi; Wesley, Fabrício Bruno, David Luiz and Ayrton Lucas; Allan, Pulgar and Gerson; Luiz Araújo, Bruno Henrique and Carlinhos.

Defending the leadership of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo faces an Atlético-MG team that is looking to move up the table.  The Minas Gerais team usually imposes difficulties on their opponents when they play at home, and the MRV Arena will be pulsing with the energy of the local fans. The Flamengo coach, aware of the difficulties, has adjusted the team to maintain the rhythm and ensure a good result away from home.

Clubs interested in Gabriel Barbosa, Gabigol, have faced two crucial points in negotiations: the player's high salary and a trial for attempted fraud in an anti-doping test. These factors are shaping possible transactions involving the Flamengo striker. The financial issue is one of the biggest obstacles. Gabigol has a high salary, which naturally excludes several clubs from negotiations. This financial factor serves as a filter, limiting the number of teams that can bear the costs involved in signing the player. In addition to the financial issue, there is another significant challenge: Gabigol is involved in a trial for attempted fraud in an anti-doping test. This case has generated apprehension among interested clubs, who are paying attention to legal developments before moving forward in any negotiations.

FLAMENGO HAS A NEW DIRECTION IN NEGOTIATIONS

These two points - high salary and judgment - have a direct impact on the market. The clubs that still show interest in Gabigol need to carefully evaluate these factors to decide whether or not to move forward in negotiations. The financial situation is already a challenge in itself, and the legal uncertainty adds an extra level of complexity.

Some clubs are still interested in Gabigol, despite the challenges. They evaluate the potential return that the player can bring, both in terms of performance on the field and financial return through marketing and shirt sales. However, the combination of the high cost and the player's legal situation requires thorough analysis and careful risk management.
