Flamengo's plans are coming to fruition, in terms of expanding and improving the club's complete experience. Amidst much news about the start of construction of the red-black stadium, the board arranged the long-awaited purchase of land around Ninho do Urubu, which will serve to expand the useful area of the Training Center. This way, the biggest club in Brazil will have the biggest CT in South America.
According to the Essência Rubro-Negra portal, the area purchased by Mengão is around 35 thousand square meters. New fields will be built at the site, both synthetic and natural grass.
As a result, at the end of the works, the club will have 20 fields available for the club's athletes, whether male, female or grassroots. Currently, this is not the reality at Ninho, which only has space for the main team and some of the youth squads.
It is worth highlighting that, in the mini-stadium, which is also part of the construction project, there will initially be synthetic grass, but the decision changed and it will now have natural grass.
