Maíra Cardi used social media, this Tuesday (16), to vent about motherhood. The digital influencer, who is the mother of Lucas and Sophia, spoke about the difficulties she faced when becoming a mother and highlighted the feeling of feeling insufficient.
“I made mistakes and I make a lot of mistakes. I am full of mistakes and limitations. I don't think I'm a good mother, I'm good enough to raise my children as I should. I don't have the gift of joking, and I feel very guilty about it! Anyone who is a mother understands this feeling of being insufficient”, she began.
Maíra recalled the situations she faced after giving birth to Lucas. “I created Lucas at great cost. A 17-year-old girl, taking crowded buses and subways, being 'abused' by rubbing shoulders with sick men, was not optional 25 years ago. I worked to pay the bills of grown-ups. Waking up at 4 am, and studying at night and arriving at midnight to spend the night awake breastfeeding,” she wrote.
She continued: “I didn’t give my son Lucas quality time. In fact, I didn't give it any time! Everyone gives what they have, I didn't have it! We survived, but I didn't have the emotional health to raise him as I should have! Between breastfeeding and a diaper change, he felt more of the salty taste of my tears and the absence of my soul”, said Maíra Cardi. “I didn't want to be a mother and, then, 18 years later, still traumatized by solo motherhood, I also didn't want to have another child. Maíra Cardi followed: “The tears reminded me that I am needy, frustrated, a failure, that I was unlucky in love, that it was difficult to pay the bills, while my breast was still hanging and bloody from breastfeeding, the stitches from the cesarean section were still burning , when they didn't burst during sleepless nights and a lot of loneliness!
