Maíra Cardi used social media, this Tuesday (16), to vent about motherhood. The digital influencer, who is the mother of Lucas and Sophia, spoke about the difficulties she faced when becoming a mother and highlighted the feeling of feeling insufficient.
“I made mistakes and I make a lot of mistakes. I am full of mistakes and limitations. I don't think I'm a good mother, I'm good enough to raise my children as I should. I don't have the gift of joking, and I feel very guilty about it! Anyone who is a mother understands this feeling of being insufficient”, she began.
Maíra recalled the situations she faced after giving birth to Lucas. “I created Lucas at great cost. A 17-year-old girl, taking crowded buses and subways, being 'abused' by rubbing shoulders with sick men, was not optional 25 years ago. I worked to pay the bills of grown-ups. Waking up at 4 am, and studying at night and arriving at midnight to spend the night awake breastfeeding,” she wrote.
She continued: “I didn’t give my son Lucas quality time. In fact, I didn't give it any time! Everyone gives what they have, I didn't have it! We survived, but I didn't have the emotional health to raise him as I should have! Between breastfeeding and a diaper change, he felt more of the salty taste of my tears and the absence of my soul”, said Maíra Cardi. The influencer then said that she no longer wanted to be a mother, when Sophia came along, the result of her old relationship with Arthur Aguiar.
“I didn't want to be a mother and, then, 18 years later, still traumatized by solo motherhood, I also didn't want to have another child. But Sophia came, and despite a mother's unconditional love, the salty taste of nighttime tears came again, as she once again reminded me that I'm not a good mother and that it hurts so much to be alone”, she wrote.
Maíra Cardi followed: “The tears reminded me that I am needy, frustrated, a failure, that I was unlucky in love, that it was difficult to pay the bills, while my breast was still hanging and bloody from breastfeeding, the stitches from the cesarean section were still burning , when they didn't burst during sleepless nights and a lot of loneliness! I made a mistake again, this time with her, which had nothing to do with my defects and limitations.”

Samba lost one of its greatest references this Friday (8): Arlindo Cruz passed away at the age of 66 in Rio de Janeiro. Recognized for his vast work with 795 registered compositions, the samba singer marked generations with hits such as “Saudade Louca” and “Boto Meu Povo na Rua” . Born in Madureira, the birthplace of Rio samba, Arlindo was also a passionate Flamengo fan.
His retirement from the stage occurred after suffering a stroke in 2017, which impacted his career and health. Family members confirmed his death, without disclosing the official cause, but emphasized the artist's cultural legacy and his love for soccer, especially for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved). The wake will be open to the Rio de Janeiro community.
The son of Arlindão, who had meetings with samba artists like Candeia at home, Arlindo Cruz immersed himself in the musical world from an early age. At 17, he began his professional career as a cavaquinho player on Candeia's 1975 album "Roda de Samba." Singer Milton Nascimento and record label Sony Music filed a lawsuit against Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, alleging the improper use of the song "Clube da Esquina nº 2". The work, written by Milton, Lô Borges and Márcio Borges , was allegedly used without authorization in a video posted on the club's social media in January 2025, during the announcement of Gabigol's signing from Flamengo.
According to information published by the newspaper O Globo, the video was produced and released by Cruzeiro without the proper authorization of the artists involved in the song's creation . Sony Music , which represents the copyright of the work, is seeking compensation for material damages, while Milton Nascimento and the Borges brothers are seeking compensation for moral damages.
The court order stipulates a sum of R$50,000 for each of the songwriters involved . Despite the good relationship between the artist and the Minas Gerais club in the recent past, the lawsuit remains ongoing due to the dispute between the parties.
In 2022, after announcing his retirement from the stage at the age of 80, Milton Nascimento was honored by Cruzeiro at a concert held at the Mineirão stadium in Belo Horizonte.
