The market is still moving hotly, but the name of Marino Hinestroza, which has been mentioned behind the scenes at Gávea in recent days, will not be removed from the speculation field. According to Venê Casagrande, Flamengo will not move forward with his signing. The reason? The player's profile does not meet the requirements outlined by the department headed by José Boto, responsible for coordinating the club's signings in the second half of the year.
Flamengo understands that it needs specific reinforcements, especially for the wings. And Hinestroza, despite playing in the offensive sector, is not exactly that type of athlete. The Colombian has characteristics more geared towards central play and creation, which clashes with the current demand. The board's decision was made after an in-depth analysis of the squad and the planning for the final stretch of the season. Even with losses and a tight schedule, the order is to be surgical in the signings.
Currently playing for Atlético Nacional in Colombia, Hinestroza gained visibility after his time at Palmeiras and a brief spell in Mexican and American football. The striker is only 21 years old, but is still looking to establish himself in his professional career. His time at Palmeiras was marked by challenges. The player suffered from injuries and difficulties adapting. In addition, his desire to return to Colombia weighed on his departure from the São Paulo club, where he played on loan.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Marino was promoted to the Palmeiras main squad at just 17 years old, due to the absences caused by the outbreak in the group. Full-back Jorge, the new signing for Remo under executive director Marcos Braz , is experiencing a comeback in football. Discovered by Flamengo, he achieved national and international prominence, playing for clubs such as Palmeiras, Santos, Fluminense, and even in Europe , playing for Monaco, Porto, and Basel.
In France, with Monaco, Jorge won a French Championship title. Returning to Brazil in 2023, he signed with Fluminense, but suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee , which sidelined him for a long period.
