The Brazilian team came to win the first quarter, but suffered a comeback due to foul problems
|
0Brazil lost to France 78-66 this Saturday (27), in the debut of men's basketball at the Olympics 2024. Star of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, Victor Wembanyama was the scorer of the match with 19 points, along with Nicolas Batum, from the Philadelphia 76ers; on the Brazilian side, Léo Meindl was the highlight with 14. The teams are in group B of the tournament, which also includes Germany and Japan.
Brazil started the duel against France with excellent offensive and hitting the mark, which led the Seleção to win the first quarter by 23 to 15. However, the good performance did not continue for the rest of the match, and the French managed to turn the match around in the final minutes of the second period. The Brazilian team felt the absence of Lucas Dias and Bruno Cabloco, who had to be rested for having committed three fouls each in the first half.
After the break, Brazil's performance got much worse and also suffered from losses of ball possession, especially in wrong passes. Thus, the home team opened up a good lead in the third quarter, which harmed the Seleção's chances of recovery. Even so, the last period was more competitive, with 18 points for each side and the Brazilian team's reaction slowed down.
Brazil's next match at the Olympics is against Germany, on Tuesday (30), at 4pm (Brasília time). France faces Japan on the same day, at 12:15 pm.

0Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who gained national prominence when playing for Flamengoand was convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio , now works as a furniture delivery man. At 39 years old, Bruno was seen performing his new role in Rio das Ostras, a city on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The information was released by CNN Brasil.
The revelation of Bruno's new occupation was made by the "Rio das Ostras 24 hora" profile on Instagram. A video published on the platform shows the former player unloading furniture from a truck in the city center. He would be working for a furniture company that also operates in Cabo Frio and Macaé, other locations on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2023, Bruno had already released videos on social media promoting a furniture company, which indicated his approach to this new field of activity.
Bruno was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2010 for the crimes of murder and concealment of corpse of Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping of her son Bruninho. At the time, he was a goalkeeper for Mais Querido, and his arrest interrupted a career that was on the rise. Bruno became Brazilian champion in 2009 and, in 2010, he was in advanced negotiations to move to Milan, in Italy.
The midfielder appeared singing the Mais Querido anthem in a moment of relaxation with his son

0Created by Flamengo and considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, Lucas Paquetá does not hide his love for Mais Querido. Now, the player tries to pass on this red-black passion to the next generation. Thus, the athlete appeared in a video on social media teaching his son to sing the Mengo anthem.
In images published on social media by Lucas Paquetá's wife, which were reposted by the athlete, he appears at a moment relaxing with his family and helping his son sing the Flamengo anthem, even joking: “you have to sing it all”.
It is worth remembering that Lucas Paquetá was one of the names desired by the Red and Black board in the last transfer window. The midfielder is linked to West Ham (ING), but is experiencing a turbulent situation in England. This is because the midfielder is being investigated by the English Federation (FA) for "misconduct in relation to betting" in four Premier League matches.
Thus, Mais Querido even tried to convince the English team that a change of scenery would be positive for the player. However, West Ham did not accept the values proposed by Flamengo and the negotiation did not progress.
DECISION AT LIBERTADORESMost Querido is focused on the confrontation against Peñarol, in the Libertadores quarter-finals. Therefore, Flamengo faces the Uruguayans this Thursday (19), at 7pm, at Maracanã.

0This past Tuesday (17), Felipe Motta announced his departure from Flamengo through his social networks, after one season. Now, the athlete will defend Rubro-Negro's rival, Botafogo in NBB 2024/25.
Felipe was revealed as an athlete with great potential. The young man played for the Brazilian National Team's youth teams, went through the NBA Global Academy, the North American league's development program, and played for Fortaleza before arriving at Rubro-Negro last season. He was champion of the Super 8 Cup and was part of the runner-up in the NBB.
However, Felipe only had a few minutes on the court per game and very discreet numbers. The winger played 5 minutes on average per game and had the following statistics: 1.3 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.4 assists. The young man had more opportunities in LNb 2024 and did well in the fourth place campaign, but both parties reached an agreement and ended the relationship.
FELIPE MOTTA SAYS GOODBYE TO FLAMENGOOn his social networks, Felipe Motta thanked Mais Querido and sent a message to the Nation: “Thank you Flamengo. It was an honor to be part of and play for the red and black nation.”
It is expected that Felipe will have more minutes at Botafogo and can establish himself among the elite of Brazilian basketball. The new NBB 2024/25 season will start in the second week of October, and Mais Querido will face Vasco in the first round.
