0This Monday, Rafaela Silva lost to Japanese Haruka Funakubo in the bronze medal match in women's judo under 57kg at the Olympics. The Brazilian, gold medalist at the Rio Games, was surpassed by having taken three shidos (punishments).
The Brazilian started by taking the initiative, controlling the attack actions. The Japanese managed to take it to the ground, but Rafaela managed to get out. With the fight fierce, the dispute for the bronze medal went to the golden score, in which whoever scores first wins the fight. At one point, the two judokas were left hanging with two shidos.
A review by the referee indicated that Rafaela dove with her head, an illegal movement. With that, she was punished and defeated by Haruka Funakubo. In the dispute in Paris, Rafaela Silva went straight from the first phase without fighting to be seeded. In the round of 16, she defeated Maysa Pardayeva of Turkmenistan with an armbar. In the next phase, she beat Eteri Liparteliani, from Georgia, by ippon.
In the semifinals, Rafaela Silva faced a very tough opponent, South Korean Mimi Huh. The Brazilian had a record of four defeats in four fights against her rival. And she lost again. With an efficient strategy, the Asian achieved a pin on the golden score and advanced to the decision.

0Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who gained national prominence when playing for Flamengoand was convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio , now works as a furniture delivery man. At 39 years old, Bruno was seen performing his new role in Rio das Ostras, a city on the coast of Rio de Janeiro. The information was released by CNN Brasil.
The revelation of Bruno's new occupation was made by the "Rio das Ostras 24 hora" profile on Instagram. A video published on the platform shows the former player unloading furniture from a truck in the city center. He would be working for a furniture company that also operates in Cabo Frio and Macaé, other locations on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2023, Bruno had already released videos on social media promoting a furniture company, which indicated his approach to this new field of activity.
Bruno was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2010 for the crimes of murder and concealment of corpse of Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping of her son Bruninho. At the time, he was a goalkeeper for Mais Querido, and his arrest interrupted a career that was on the rise. 0Created by Flamengo and considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, Lucas Paquetá does not hide his love for Mais Querido. Now, the player tries to pass on this red-black passion to the next generation. Thus, the athlete appeared in a video on social media teaching his son to sing the Mengo anthem.
In images published on social media by Lucas Paquetá's wife, which were reposted by the athlete, he appears at a moment relaxing with his family and helping his son sing the Flamengo anthem, even joking: “you have to sing it all”.
It is worth remembering that Lucas Paquetá was one of the names desired by the Red and Black board in the last transfer window. The midfielder is linked to West Ham (ING), but is experiencing a turbulent situation in England. This is because the midfielder is being investigated by the English Federation (FA) for "misconduct in relation to betting" in four Premier League matches.
Thus, Mais Querido even tried to convince the English team that a change of scenery would be positive for the player. However, West Ham did not accept the values proposed by Flamengo and the negotiation did not progress.
