Shortly after the fire at Ninho do Urubu, in 2019, Flamengo created a space in its museum to honor the boys who died in the tragedy. There were 10 shirts with their backs facing the public, so that each person's name was on display.

Then, the club also included a Vasco shirt in the exhibition. The Cruz-Maltino player placed the red-black emblem on his uniform in the match against Resende, in February 2019 with the phrase "Forward, together".

Reopened 10 months ago, the Museum lost its tribute to those who died in the accident on February 8, 2019. Where are the shirts that were displayed at the site before the renovation?

The club confirmed that both the 10 uniforms with the boys' names and the shirt of the Vasco are kept in the club's collection. The investigation indicates that the club considers that the inauguration of the ecumenical chapel of Ninho do Urubu, in 2022, fulfills the role of honoring the boys. The space is where the containers that caught fire used to be and, in its walls, there are 10 illuminated niches representing each of the victims.

There is, however, no external access to the place. Only authorized people can enter the Ninho.

At the moment there is nothing planned for the Flamengo Museum regarding the victims of the Ninho. There is an expansion project, initially planned for 2025, which would include a second floor for the exhibition. It is not yet certain that there will be mention of the subject when this is ready.

The current museum goes through the different stages of Flamengo's history. In addition to the cups spread around the place, there are also shirts of idols chosen by fan voting, space to talk about embassies around the world, Club World Cup hall, basketball space, a projection room and holograms with Zico and Júnior talking .

To create the attraction, the club visited museums belonging to other teams in Brazil and around the world. The total investment for the renovation was R$23 million. Half of the amount was contributed by MUDE, a company that manages museums for Juventus, Benfica, River Plate and Wembley. The other part of the amount was from sponsors who use resources from the Municipal Culture Incentive Law, State Culture and Sports Incentive Law and the Rouanet Law.

Athila Paixão, who was 14 years old; Arthur Vinícius de Barros Silva Freitas, 14; Bernardo Pisetta, 14; Christian Esmério, 15; Gedson Santos, 14; Jorge Eduardo Santos, 15; Pablo Henrique da Silva Matos, 14; Rykelmo de Souza Vianna, 16; Samuel Thomas Rosa, 15; and Vitor Isaías, 15, slept in the accommodation that caught fire in February 2019.

Carlinhos' performance in the last classic between Flamengoand Vasco, played on Sunday, has generated a wave of criticism and questions from the red and black fans. The striker, who entered the field in the 18th minute of the second half, replacing Bruno Henrique, played a discreet role and ended up failing to help the team in one of the most decisive moments of the match.

The classic, as always, was a game intense and highly anticipated by both fans, with great weight for the championship table and the morale of the teams. However, Carlinhos' entry, which lasted just 27 minutes, was considered below expectations, especially in a scenario where Flamengo was looking for a victory to distance itself from its rivals.

FLAMENGO HAS A DEFICIENCY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP < /b>

During the 27 minutes he was on the field, Carlinhos barely appeared, failing to influence the game as expected. The player only touched the ball a few times, did not create clear scoring chances and also did not help efficiently in the defensive system. With an apathetic performance, the striker ended up becoming a target of frustration for the fans, who expected more from a player who, at other times, had already demonstrated the potential to be decisive.

The lack of offensive participation was a of the main points raised by critics. In a game that required creativity and boldness to break through the Vasco blockade, Carlinhos was unable to find spaces or impose his presence as a constant threat to the opponent's goal. In classics, where every detail makes a difference, this lack of protagonism weighed even more.

The replacement of Bruno Henrique by Carlinhoswas also a factor that generated discussion. Bruno Henrique, although he was not having a brilliant performance, is a player recognized for his ability to decide games, especially in big confrontations. His departure 18 minutes into the second half was justified by the coaching staff as part of the planning to spare the athlete, who recently returned from injury.

After taking charge of Flamengo, Tite, former coach of the Brazilian national team, made it clear that he is quickly adapting to the club's culture. In recent statements, he highlighted Rubro-Negro's striking characteristic: the incessant search for all possible titles. According to the coach, this spirit of intense competition is something that he not only admires, but is also incorporating into his own work philosophy.

Tite, known for his meticulous and results-focused work, revealed that the Transition to Flamengo involves constant learning, especially in relation to the club's winning mentality. "Flamengo has this culture of fighting for every title. There is no focus on just one competition, the goal is to win everything within reach", he explained.

THE COACH WANTS A COMPETITIVE STYLE

This characteristic is notable in Flamengoin recent years, which has won several important competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tite, accustomed to pressure and the need for results, states that this mentality is something he is adopting in his day-to-day life at the club. “I see this culture, and this is what we are doing. Flamengo has this requirement, and I am a coach who likes this type of challenge.”

Although Tite has an established career, with successful spells at clubs such as Corinthians and the Brazilian national team, Flamengo represents a new experience for the coach. He is now at the helm of a team that has traditionally had fans calling for victories in every competition they compete in, something he sees as a positive challenge.

"You have to learn every day Even with the experience I have, here I realize that there are very high expectations, but at the same time that's what makes you grow", commented the coach. For him, working at a club that maintains such a high level of demand motivates him to always seek the best.

Last Tuesday (07), the Rio de Janeiro Court maintained the amount of compensation that Flamengo will have to pay to the family of Christian Esmério, one of the victims of fire at Ninho do Urubu in 2019< /a>. Flamengo was ordered to pay R$2.9 million to Christian's family.

The young man's family was the only one that did not reach an agreement with Flamengo and sought justice. In February, the club was ordered to pay, as moral damages, R$1.4 million to the father and the same amount to the young man's mother. The brother was ordered to transfer R$120,000. Furthermore, the Court ordered the payment of a pension of five minimum wages to Christian's parents until the date on which the young man turned 45 or until his parents' death.

After the decision, Flamengo questioned the compensation amounts. The athlete's family also appealed, claiming that Christian's foster brother was left out of compensation. Judge André Aiex maintained the compensation amounts and detailed other points of the trial.

The judge decided that the pension must be paid retroactively, from the day of the Ninho do Urubu fire, in 2019. The amount that Flamengo has already sent to the family, R$ 5 thousand per month, will be deducted from this retrospective.

If one of the parents dies before the date on which Christian would turn 45, the amount of the pension will be reduced by half. Finally, the magistrate denied the request for compensation to Christian's foster brother. The judge stated that the young man, despite having emotional ties with the victim, was only introduced to the victim. throughout the judicial process.
