Benfica (POR) is close to signing Colombian midfielder Richard Ríos , currently with Palmeiras, this transfer window. Revealed by Flamengo, the player could yield a profit for the Rio de Janeiro club, which holds 6% of the player's economic rights in a potential sale.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Benfica has already reached an agreement with Richard Ríos regarding the personal terms of his contract . With this, the Portuguese club is preparing an official offer to Palmeiras, which, in turn, has signaled a positive response to the sale of the 25-year-old athlete .
Although Palmeiras has opened negotiations, the club doesn't intend to release the player easily. The asking price is around €30 million—approximately R$195.6 million at the current exchange rate. With 6% of the rights, Flamengo could earn around €1.8 million, equivalent to R$11.7 million .
While monitoring the move involving Richard Ríos, Flamengo is also active in the transfer market. The club is in advanced negotiations with midfielder Jorge Carrascal of Dynamo Moscow (RUS). An official offer has already been made, and the board is awaiting a final decision in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the team led by Filipe Luís remains focused on the season's commitments. Flamengo returns to the field this Sunday (20), at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Fluminense , at Maracanã, in a classic valid for the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship.
The player is back on Palmeiras' radar after negotiations at the start of the season, but has a clear preference for playing for Mengão.

Despite his important role in the squad, Paquetá isn't having a good time at London Stadium. According to the English website Hammers News, the player no longer displays the same enthusiasm as before and is no longer the smiling figure who once commanded attention behind the scenes. He has recently become more isolated, even in relation to his own compatriots .
