Globo broadcasts Palmeiras x Flamengo throughout Brazil (except BA and RS) with Maestro Junior in the comments, and Premiere will have Paulo Andrade in a Mengão game for the first time

This Sunday (21), Flamengo and Palmeiras face each other in the third round of the Brasileirão, at 4pm, at Allianz Parque. The match marks the first confrontation between the teams competing for hegemony in Brazilian football in recent years and there is a lot of expectation. Thus, TV Globo and Premiere selected some of their main narrators and commentators for the game; check out the broadcast teams.

Globo will broadcast Flamengo x Palestino on open TV for practically all of Brazil, with the exception of Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul. The match on the broadcaster will be narrated by Luis Roberto , with comments by Caio Ribeiro and the red-black historical idol Maestro Júnior. The broadcaster will start broadcasting at 3:40 pm, with 20 minutes left before the ball rolls.

Premiere, Rede Globo's pay per view service, shows the match on closed TV and on the internet for subscribers. The transmission will be the responsibility of narrator Paulo Andrade, while the comments will be provided by PC Vasconcellos and Grafite. The pre-game with the trio is scheduled to start at 3pm, according to the channel's schedule.

It is worth noting that it will be Paulo Andrade's debut in Flamengo games as a narrator for Grupo Globo. He left ESPN to settle with the channel and, considered one of the best narrators today, was selected for the big game of the round.

Tite and Abel Ferreira have already led the last training sessions for Flamengo and Palmeiras before the duel this Sunday. The coaches have already indicated the starting teams that should start the match, and Rubro-Negro will have more significant changes.

In this Saturday's activity, at Ninho do Urubu, Tite indicated that he should preserve De La Cruz and Pedro and start with the pair on the bench. Thus, the likely Flamengo is: Rossi; Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas; Pulgar, Allan and Arrascaeta; Luiz Araújo, Bruno Henrique and Carlinhos.

Abel Ferreira tends to maintain the same lineup that lost to Internacional on Wednesday (17). The only doubt is the presence of Lázaro, ex-Fla and criticized by São Paulo fans, and Estevão or Marcos Rocha are considered: Weverton; Mayke, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo and Pirquerez; Anibal Moreno, Richard Rios, Lázaro (Marcos Rocha/Estevão) and Veiga; Endrick and Flaco López.

In a press conference at Ninho do Urubu, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi spoke about his desire to be called up to the Argentina national team , the current world champion. Despite his dream, the goalkeeper made it clear that his priority remains Flamengo.

"Obviously, I've always wanted to be called up. I think Brazilian football is very strong, not only in South America, but worldwide as well. In the last call-up, there were players from here. But I'm not thinking about that right now . I think that if I do my job well, that call-up could come," Rossi stated.

TOTAL FOCUS ON FLAMENGO

The Argentine stressed that he keeps his feet on the ground and that his main goal is to continue showing consistency for the Rubro-Negro , who have the best defense in the Brasileirão, conceding only 10 goals in 22 games. At Maracanã, the Mais Querido conceded only three goals.

"I'm in no rush, because my job is for Flamengo , day to day, game to game. My biggest focus is to maintain this streak so that the call-up can come. Of course I have that desire, but I don't treat it as a requirement . I'm Flamengo's goalkeeper, I'm responsible for Flamengo. If the call-up comes, I'll welcome it," he added.

INCOME AND TITLES WITH THE MANTLE

Since joining Flamengo in 2023, Rossi has already won four titles. Last season, he was a key player in the undefeated Carioca Championship and also played in the Copa do Brasil victory. In 2025, he maintained his starting spot in the Supercopa do Brasil and the Campeonato Estadual . In total, he has represented Flamengo in 125 official matches, establishing himself as a pillar of the team.
