Flamengo returns to the field this Saturday (11), facing Fluminense in a game valid for the 34th round of the Brazilian Championship. At Maracanã, Rubro-Negro will seek to improve its performance as home team in the current edition of the national competition.

When playing at home for the Brasileirão, Flamengo participated in 15 matches , achieving eight wins, four draws and suffering three defeats. With these results, the red and black team achieved a success rate of 62.2% acting as home team in this edition of the national tournament.

Playing at home for the Brasileirão, the Flamengo accumulated 28 points out of 45 possible, placing itself as the eighth best home team in the Brazilian Championship. The leader in this aspect is Grêmio, who won 38 of the 48 points played at home.

Flamengo's last match at home for the Brasileirão resulted in a victory on Wednesday (08), when they defeated Palmeiras 3-0 at Maracanã, with two goals from Pedro and one from Arrascaeta. With this triumph, Tite records three victories as Flamengo's coach in matches played at home.

The team now focuses its attention on the next challenge of the season. On Saturday (11), Flamengo faces Fluminense in a Rio classic valid for the 34th round of the Brasileirão, with the game scheduled for 6:30 pm (Brasília time).

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.



Following is the Red and Black lineup:Rossi, Varela, Fabrício Bruno, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Plata and Bruno Henrique.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
