The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro carried out, this Friday (1st November), an operation called Rifa, which investigates the digital influencer Vivi Noronha, wife of singer MC Poze do Rodo, is suspected of moving approximately R$10 million in a fraudulent raffle scheme. Vivi allegedly used her popularity on social media to sell supposedly fake raffle tickets, promising prizes of up to R$100,000.
According to investigations, Vivi moved these amounts between May 2022 and May 2023. The influencer has more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram, the platform she used to promote the sweepstakes. To participate, interested parties had to pay a fee of R$0.99 per ticket, with the promise of competing for high prizes, which would have attracted a large number of participants.
OTHER INFLUENCERS INVOLVED IN OPERATION RIFA
In addition to Vivi Noronha, other digital influencers are also under investigation. Among the names released by the Civil Police is Roger Rodrigues dos Santos, known as Roginho Du Ouro. He is suspected of having moved around R$15 million in just five months, money that would come from the same fraudulent raffle scheme.
Those investigated would have created a network to publicize and sell tickets, operating on social networks and attracting many participants with the promise of prizes that, according to the police, would never be delivered.
Other suspects mentioned by the Civil Police include Jonathan Luis Chaves Costa, known as Jon Jon, and Bolívar Guerrero Silva. Authorities point out that the group operated together to promote raffles and keep the scheme active.

Although MC Poze do Rodo was not a direct target of the operation's actions, he is being investigated on suspicion of having helped publicize the raffles promoted by his wife. According to authorities, MC Poze's collaboration, given his widespread popularity, could have contributed to expanding the reach of the scheme, influencing public engagement in raffles promoted by Vivi.
The investigations continue, and the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police have not yet concluded whether there will be further developments or the inclusion of new suspects. The case generated great repercussion on social media and raised discussions about the regulation of online sweepstakes and raffles, especially on profiles of influencers with a large reach.
