Former goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes, who gained national prominence when playing for Flamengoand was convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio , now works as a furniture delivery man. A video published on the platform shows the former player unloading furniture from a truck in the city center. He would be working for a furniture company that also operates in Cabo Frio and Macaé, other locations on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2023, Bruno had already released videos on social media promoting a furniture company, which indicated his approach to this new field of activity.

Bruno was sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2010 for the crimes of murder and concealment of corpse of Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping of her son Bruninho. At the time, he was a goalkeeper for Mais Querido, and his arrest interrupted a career that was on the rise. Bruno became Brazilian champion in 2009 and, in 2010, he was in advanced negotiations to move to Milan, in Italy.
