WITH THE WORD...

"What the Brazilian clubs have done at the start of the World Cup fills us with pride and joy. Great performances, great results and, more than that, proof that Brazilian football remains an example of talent and competitiveness. Let's move forward, with our quartet of leaders" , said the CBF president.

SITUATION OF THE BRAZILIANS IN THE THIRD ROUND

Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Palmeiras are leaders in their respective groups . In addition, the country's teams have not yet lost in the competition after two rounds - six wins and two draws so far.

Flamengo, with a 100% record, is the Brazilian team in the best position , as it has already secured qualification and leadership in Group D. Botafogo has also won two games, but is still not mathematically qualified for the round of 16. Only a three-goal defeat against Atlético de Madrid, combined with a victory for PSG, will keep the black and white team from qualifying.
