Vinícius Júnior doesn't have a minute of peace in the Spanish League. After Valencia (ESP) made an official statement to criticize the star for his statement about the racist attacks he suffered, the regional press also decided to join the wave. The former Flamengo player was accused of being a liar and was called 'Pinocchio'.

The cover of the newspaper 'Superdeporte' this Friday morning (06) shocked the world of sports. The Valencian newspaper published its main article on the Vinícius Jr. x Valencia case and included an absurd photograph of Real Madrid's number 7 (ESP). The edited image shows Vini celebrating a goal, but with a long, fake nose covering his real one.

"Pinocchio" is the name of the game. He is being accused of having lied during the statements he made to local authorities, this Thursday (05). Cria do Ninho appeared in court in the Spanish capital, Madrid, to talk about the racist insults he received in a match against Valencia, on May 21st this year.

By videoconference, the Brazilian spoke before the court in the city of Valencia. The Brazilian reported that he was a victim of racism at the Mestalla Stadium, at the time, but also confessed that he provoked the local fans, who responded with unreasonable attacks.

In an official statement, Valencia criticized Vinicius Junior's statement to Spanish justice. The club expressed "surprise, rejection and indignation" and stated that "racism cannot be combatted with fallacies or unfounded lies":

"The club is fully aware of the seriousness of this matter. Racism has no place in football or in society, but it cannot be combatted with fallacies or unfounded lies. This issue requires everyone's involvement, and Valencia CF understands that it must be scrupulously precise and responsible in these types of demonstrations. Valencia fans cannot be classified as racist and Valencia CF demands that Vinicius Jr. publicly rectify his alleged statement this morning," said the club's statement.
