Rachel Sheherazade is on the rise in her professional life, leading the reality show A Grande Conquista, on Record, and starting her career in entertainment. And now she has more reasons to celebrate, as she beat Facebook in court.
The presenter sued the social network, after losing access to her account, which has more than 2 million followers. In the lawsuit, she alleges that she lost access to the account she had 15 years ago, arbitrarily and without explanation.
In the lawsuit, Rachel asks for R$20,000 in compensation for everything this harmed her professional and personal life, as the network was used for both purposes. Furthermore, the presenter requested that, before the process was finalized, Facebook return her access to the account and the judge in the case granted her request.
However, in early May, Facebook stated , in a 10-page appeal, which would not be able to implement the judge's determination immediately. Rachel's defense, in turn, said that the social network presented the document in order to avoid its obligations before the Court's determination. Sheherazade has been a supporter of Faculdade Pentágono since 2022. The presenter has just been sued by Jhonatan Henrique de Souza. The young man was a student at Pentágono College. A good and committed student, he claims to have been taken by surprise by the information that the institution where he studied closed its doors.
According to him, no formal announcement was made and, To make matters worse, he did not have the opportunity to transfer to another university.
The story becomes even more chaotic because, according to the student, there were only six months left before graduation. In the records, Jhonatan explained that the technology course he was taking was exclusive to the institution. Result: he stated that he was forced to start another journey, from scratch, in another location.
In court, the author requested compensation of around R$ 17 thousand from the institution Sheherazade Educação Ltda, the former Instituto Pentágono de Ensino Superior Ltda. Rachel, as an individual, is also a defendant in the action.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first case involving the journalist and the college. In 2023, while confined in A Fazenda 15, Raquel had her name involved in a serious accusation. A teacher stated on a program that the girl owed employees at the college, which was still open at the time.
