The main squad of Flamengo continues in pre-season in the United States, and the club announced that goalkeeper Agustín Rossi will be the next to meet the press. Rossi's press conference is scheduled for this Monday (13), at 2:45 pm (Brasília time), right after lunch. On Sunday (12), it was defender Léo Ortiz's turn to talk to journalists.
Rossi's interview will take place after the first training session of the day, held at the Donald Stadium R. Dizneyin Gainesville. This Monday, Flamengo will have activities in two periods at Gators Stadium. The first is scheduled for 11:30am (Brasília time), and the second for 6pmpm.
Under the command of Filipe Luís, Rubro-Negro reaches the third day of trainingin the United States, where he will remain for around eight days, until January 19th. After this period, the team will return to Brazil to prepare for the Campeonato Carioca.
Pre-season in the United States
The pre-season schedule was defined during the management of Rodolfo Landim, including a friendly against São Paulo, scheduled for January 19th, as part of FC Séries. Initially, the plan was for Flamengo to remain in the USA until the 24th .
However, with the management transition to Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Bap, there were changes to the agenda. The return to Brazil was brought forward to January 19th, right after the friendly against São Paulo. Therefore, the delegation must disembark in Rio de Janeiro on the 20th.
Upcoming appointments
After returning, the Flamengo main team will take over the Campeonato Carioca matches from January 25th. The first challenge will be against Volta Redonda, in a game that could take place at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília.

Today is an important game day for Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship . Mengão hosts Mirassol in the 19th round, and last of the first half, of the Brasileirão this Saturday (9) at 6:30 pm (Brasília time). Mais Querido needs the victory to remain in first place in the table , while Leão wants to enter the G4 of the competition.
One of the possible new players is Jorge Carrascal , who did not play in the Copa do Brasil against Atlético-MG due to not being registered, but is available for the Brasileirão. The Colombian is available to coach Filipe Luís for the first time since his arrival at Flamengo .
Coach Filipe Luís will be without key players for the match : Danilo, with a hamstring injury in his right thigh; De La Cruz, who is doing strength and mobility work at the gym due to a knee injury; and Erick Pulgar, who is recovering from surgery on the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, following an injury during the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Jorginho is suspended for accumulating yellow cards.
On the other hand, there will be important reinforcements . Luiz Araújo and Bruno Henrique, who were on weight training due to pain and fatigue , trained normally in recent days and are available again. The former competes for a spot with Plata, while the latter could play as a false nine. Michael, who has recovered from a left ankle injury, is also returning, but is expected to start on the bench.
The defender left Mengão for Milan in 2019, but never established himself in the elite of European football and could be back in Rio de Janeiro.

Vasco is interested in signing defender Léo Duarte , currently with İstanbul Başakşehir in Turkey, to bolster its defense for the remainder of the season . The information was released by the Canak Vasco portal, in partnership with VDG-Cast.
Despite the interest, negotiations are seen as difficult. Léo Duarte is a regular starter and a key player for the Turkish club, making a quick release unlikely. The defender has already played 174 matches for Başakşehir, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Vasco is also monitoring other defensive players, including Colombian Carlos Cuesta. The board is looking to expand its options to address one of the main needs of Fernando Diniz's squad : the arrival of an experienced defender.
Revealed in Flamengo 's youth ranks, Léo Duarte left the club in 2019. During his time playing for Rubro-Negro, he won two Campeonato Carioca titles (2017 and 2019) . The defender worked for about a month with Jorge Jesus before being sold to Milan (ITA), his first European club.
In Europe, he failed to establish himself at Milan and was loaned to İstanbul Başakşehir, who later acquired his rights permanently . He's currently enjoying a good run of form in Turkish football, which makes Vasco's move difficult.

The player was close to being traded to Cruzeiro and even reached an agreement with Pedro Lourenço, president of the Minas Gerais State Football Association (SAF). However, Flamengo opted to keep him. Without many opportunities under Filipe Luís, Matheus asked to play for the under-20s , where he excelled and returned to the professional squad.
