0Vasco gained an important ally in the dispute for reformation of São Januário: Delair Dumbrosck, former president of Flamengo. The former red-black president participated in discussions to speed up the approval of the procedures for the sale of the construction potential of his rival's stadium. The club is awaiting approval from the City Council to begin the works.
Delair is president of the Chamber of Barra da Tijuca, the neighborhood chosen to receive part of São Januário's construction potential: “I would like to congratulate Pedrinho, may he be successful. Even though I'm red and black, I want to see Vasco do well. And I think the whole city wants to see it. Another detail is that I think it will help bring modernism to that area, which needs it”, said Delair after a meeting in the Chamber.
What Vasco is about to achieve is what Flamengo strives to make the land at Gasologista cheaper. Mengão's project is to propose to the City Hall a plan to use the construction potential of its headquarters in Gávea. Eduardo Paes was excited by the idea, now Fla is seeking an agreement with Caixa Econômica Federal.
Delair Dumbrosck was president of Flamengo for five monthsIn August 2009, the then President Márcio Braga, requested his permanent removal from office, citing health problems. Therefore, he was replaced by his deputy, Delair Dumbrosck, who remained until December, a period in which Flamengo won the Brasileirão title.
Delair tried to be re-elected in 2010, but lost to Patrícia Amorim. However, Patrícia left management in 2012, losing to Bandeira de Mello.
